There will be variances because of the simple mechanical nature of the 'stat as Allan says but this variance is in the "it doesn't matter" range, it's not worth bothering about. If you can keep the temps to below 120*C, nominally at 100*C you have nothing to worry about. Your coolant changes temp way faster that your oil, head or block. You should ideally monitor oil temp, not coolant temp. Only if oil temps become unmanageable do you need to consider the cooling system.

$7k budget for a daily. What are you buying?

You do realise that they only work for 2.5 days each week right? Which 2.5 days is a little more difficult to predict. -
And BMWP pedal covers, nice. And any time you want to flick on that intake... ? Yes, tow hook hole cover is mandatory.
-
Well they can, they just won't get reimbursed by BMW for the parts or labour.
-
Team BMW in Newmarket told me they'd get back to me in 4 business days about my recall... 15 business days later? Nothing.
-
Good question, it might be too easy to say "yes" to this, run-flats depend on the integrity of the sidewall after all. The only puncture I've had in the last 20 years is a sidewall gash. And on a brand new tyre! ?

How much more is Individual leather? My M3 has individual leather.

So today, after ordering 1 set of these 9 weeks ago I received 2 sets today plus the OEM set I ordered from FCP last week. I'm keeping the OEM set and selling these two sets. I've had the equivalent of these in my M3 for ~16 years and they're great. Brand new, never used, still in sealed bags, come with fixings. Less than my cost (for 1 set) $30 + shipping per set, 2 sets available. Will fit most BMW autos.

More bits from FCP, the delivery box was destroyed, was happy to find everything intact! Cabin filter, 2 x oil filters, drop links for my M3 sway bar, BMW Performance pedal covers (they chose not to ordain RHD markets with a dead pedal cover), and some random screws.
-
Did they fettle the engine too?
-
They're better than I could have hoped for on the M3. They'd be my go-to for the 130 also (B6's).
-
Agreed. I like both the tri-colours and the dark versions, exactly that location. I haven't seen them look good on any colour other than white though. ?

I was talking about his option #1, not his option #2. His "inexpensive" option (#1) is a bad one, my suggestion improves it dramatically. Of course if you spend more you can get more.

Another manual for under $10k, epic wheels, darkline lights, with some BMWP bits too (including what looks like a BMWP rear diffuser and back box). https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2680478447.htm Looks tidy, could be had for close to $9k I reckon. I sort-of want a white one just so I can add the motorsport stripes lol.

Keep in mind OEM MSport is terrible, you'll regret baking that in with more investment. For an inexpensive improvement you'd be better off getting the relatively cheap Bilstein B4's, reuse your current springs and get either Bilstein or BMW Performance bumpstops. Bushings are another matter, I'd visually inspect them with a pry bar before deciding to replace any, that can get pricy fast and it may be less expensive in some cases to actually get replacement arms with the bushes already installed.

People in the UK are squeezing 300 hp out of the 123 turbos, crazy. Still poverty spec, if you really like cars you'd hate yourself. -
Okay, 30 to 40% is fine, yes. But that's still nothing, 15mm or so, and I would just skip it. My comment was in relation to the Birds ARB which is much thicker and therefore only suitable with a LSD.

Added a roller cabinet for my pre-existing Teng top box which gave me the incentive and motivation to tidy the garage and workbench a little. Also added a Teng wheel nut set (bar, extension and nylon covered sockets) to my existing 3/8" and 1/2" socketry.
-
I'm not sure on the science but there's a lot of support out there for the Birds setup. I have no doubt that it's far superior to stock and would work well for most street applications. All said and done it's their full kit with LSD that makes them shine, I'd skip the ARB's if your skipping the LSD.

As per title, $20 + shipping, pickup available in Ellerslie, Auckland.

Hi there, As per subject I'm looking for a rear E9x M3 ARB, bonus if you also have the bushings and brackets. Let me know your price. Cheers.
-
I don't think we can answer any more of your questions until you've posted pictures and details of your car. ?
-
Same as the fogs, H8 LED. The ones I'm selling this this thread can be used for either fogs or halos.
-
I have the Carly app and transmitter, you're more than welcome to try that if you want to swing by Ellerslie, send me a PM.

I've been keen a pretty regular eye on prices since I got mine and I agree. There was at least one, occasionally more, 130i bargains December through March, almost none in the last few months. I wonder if (m)any lurkers/dealers picked up on the chatter here.
