  1. give me a pm, might have one in the shed i'll check this week
  2. Upgrade to a 3.2 Evo sump / S54 sump and oil pump. Buy these beforehand and get the pump rebuilt. Don't bother with baffles as KwS says, the factory ones are more than enough. Focus on what causes oil nut failure - stretched and worn chain / sprocket. Failure on S50x parts aren't as common as the M50x pumps either. Would also recommend bottom end bearings if you're going to be removing the subframe, and paying someone to install everything/ do the bearings at the same time. Have recently got a quote for a S50B32 bottom end refresh and it's come to $1700 incl GST total, that's parts and labour inclusive.

    Rev hang

ICV sometimes lets too much air in / doesn't close enough - I've fixed it before with a socket (don't judge) stuffed into the pipe between it and the intake
  6. Regular cars put out some gold, this one Subaru Impreza RS 2JZ has got to be one of my favourite ones.
  7. look at the cabin, the original has the canopy in view. They've removed the original view of the track post processing and pasted in a view from another video entirely. Watch the edges of the bonnet blur where it's not quite stabilized enough.
  8. These are quoted figures. I don't have a dyno figure - the clunky Jatco driving the wheels probably wouldn't help either. As said, test drives are welcome; it's a good time. Cam specs are found here - S50B30US specs.
  9. So as title, it's a M52B28 alloy block. Japanese import and still running in the car atm. Shrick S50 US spec cams. Tuned by a company known as Kelleners. Rev limiter is raised and it makes decent power - 170kw @ 7100 RPM (227hp) & 309 Nm @ 6900 RPM Been mated to a automatic gearbox its entire life so it's had an easy time. $3000 ONO Price is for full engine, loom, auxillaries - power steering pump, airconditioning pump etc. Can be test driven if you are actually interested located West Auckland. Selling as a long term rebuild is nearly complete and I need money to finish everything. 1 2 3 4 5 Note doesn't come with the Kelleners alloy fuel rail cover.
  10. I've got one, pmd you on facebook
  11. I'm now running a 330i rear disc setup and would love to be able to use the handbrake for it's intended purpose. Does anyone have a trailing arm set out there? Don't need discs but happy to negotiate if you want to sell all together.
  12. Ebay has always come through with the right sizes for me. Not expensive either
  13. The background is very dark now and the topic header is black also. This combination is a pain to clearly see, is there a user side way to change this? thank mr admin

    Quick Questions

Through BMW NZ new the 3.0 part is $4k NZD incl, 6 week lead time from Germany. Through other NZ retailers Ex Germany around $2.5k NZD incl. Vac won't answer any emails or offer any information on their product, for a part that's roughly $1700 landed you'd think they'd have a customer rep? ATI won't sell direct, also won't reply to emails about the VAC part, happy to talk about other engine balancers but not the VAC balancer?? Precision has that part listed but after contacting the supplier - Power Bond it's only for the M50+ range / US M3 and the likes. I've gone with Ross. They've replied to my emails and to any queries I had and were by far the cheapest - $1000 landed. Thanks for the links!

Does anyone know if there's any difference between 11231404819 & 11231317175 - both vibration dampers for E36 M3. One's S50B32, the othe S50B30. Can't find the B30 damper for sale other than through BMW Germany, but I can source the B32 one from a few places at a muuuch cheaper price.
