Yeah it was. I got a VTNZ WOF this time last year and it was $59. What is strange is that CarJam does not show that I got this WOF. Or are they one behind?
-
Repco has oil on Sale again. And if you spend over $75 and order online you get another $15 off. $25 off if over $100. Castrol 5w30 LL is $69.00

Good ol'days huh. Paid $15 a pint (US Pint ) in the CBD last week. Even my local Gladstone Pub is $9 a handle and it's only open Wed to Sunday. No more Monday drinking.
-
Wow gone are the days of the $20 WOF. Long gone.

It needs to change it's rating system. 2nd Hand Item - Rate the trader New Item - Rate the trader and the item Obviously rating the Item would only work for items with brand names and/or model numbers. Not crafted items. This lumped into one website they have is a sh*t show.

Ordering things from Trademe. Ordered a small cable on Sunday afternoon. They only put it in (not sent) a courier bag yesterday at 3pm. Due to arrive Friday to a commercial address. Just too slow.
-
Yeah that is quite nice. Who did the bearings though. Looks like a home job from that photo lol. I think after Sam heard @FIAT 131R's stunning E90 M3 the other week (He does have a very nice remus exhaust) she is quite keen on one. Will get the house on the ground first. Then look at selling the 200sx and getting something she can thrash.
-
Yeah I plan to try and make it. However I still haven't figured out my issue with it yet.

Quite nice. Considering that there is a same year Golf GTI on the same companies listings for only $12K less than this far far far superior BMW

Setting up a VM for ISTA+ and ISTA-P and other tools
Driftit replied to Driftit's topic in General Discussion
I'm only new to ISTA. And my "genuine" FTDI chip cable died on the weekend so I haven't done any programming with it. I thinking latency is going to be an issue. Many of these cables require the port latency to be set to 1ms or they just don't work. -
Setting up a VM for ISTA+ and ISTA-P and other tools

I was hoping to set something up that works with what most people have. I haven't used ICOM before. It has quite a few advantages over DCAN/KCAN but is unknown to me. -
Setting up a VM for ISTA+ and ISTA-P and other tools
Driftit replied to Driftit's topic in General Discussion
Cloud based was what I was thinking. But as mentioned the USB side of things would be a nightmare. This is what I want to test and see how much of a nightmare. But my main computer is in another location at the moment and working on a single 13" screen and track pad is driving me nuts. Will grab the proper computer tomorrow and have a play. -
Setting up a VM for ISTA+ and ISTA-P and other tools
Driftit replied to Driftit's topic in General Discussion
I was thinking we keep it 10. https://www.bimmerdiagnostics.com/ do a one click install that works on all platforms for 15 quid. Though I could imagine all the different cables could cause an issue. I will have a play around and see if I can get it working locally first. My VM knowledge is limited though. -
Found my HDD was too small the other day when I was installing ISTA-P. So I wondered if those systems would run on a VM. Had a bit of a search and it seems someone has done it on another Bimmer forum. Does anyone here have the capability and resources to build one for Bimmersport?
-
You could always bring the Aussies on board here Andy. Move it bimmersport.com (if not taken). Make it for NZ and Aus. Facebook has really reduced the numbers and fractured the existing groups. Not to mention it is a black hole of all knowledge shared on it. Bring back the forum. Sadly you can't beat Facebook for events. Maybe there is some sort of FB/Forum integration for events out there now?

Hey thanks mate. I'm reading through it now. Ok wow. Lots of pissed off installers. I think I will revisit this when the house is ready in Q1 2021. I am going to keep an eye on this EOL announcement though. It really seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot.

I reset all the values on the car last night and the rough idle went away. I drove it 20 km to the Train station this morning and it seemed fine. But I am running 5 original coils and 1 second hand E90 one. I am just waiting to hear back from ECS regarding their coils. They actually took over Bavarian Autosport a few years back. So they are in house brand. I want to return them and get Delphi ones.

Yeah that was from Swann. I said the same thing about their website being out of date. Sent the exact same email to Classic Car Cover. Will report what they come back with. FFS. I wonder where this call center is based? Will the both the vehicle be garaged?Have any of the intended drivers in the future have had an traffic offences, claims or criminal convictions in the last 7 years? That was just after we told them the cars are in secure containers in a secure facility with cameras and electric fences.
-
So do you keep them as garage queens hoping it will keep going up in value? Or do you keep doing what you guys purchased them for and drive and enjoy them? Prob go up either way tbh.
-
Ah never mind. Just got a response from them. "I can confirm we are now align with the wider IAG group which holds, STATE, AMI, NZI and NAC." This is a cut and paste. Possible English is not their primary. They have zero interest in our 200sx because it is modified and told us to ask NAC. Yeah no thanks. Endless nightmare stories about them. They want market value of my E34. I guess I will check Trademe for all the other E34 race cars for sale.. They will also only cover it while in storage. Covers nothing else. Both cars are not considered "Classic" to them.. Sounds like this unique little insurance banner has been brought into line with the other generic ones. Sad. Will look at Classic Car Cover.
-
@M3AN Dave how has Swann been so far? I need to move our classics to some form of Laid Up Cover. Swann can supply it. Have their policies been pretty consistent?
-
Is there any height difference between left and right front of the car? I recall where the shocks are mounted is slotted with a pin/bolt that holds the camber. Though the camber adjustment there is quite limited. This is a 1 series. But I am pretty sure the E9* series is the same. The hole at the top right is where there is usually a bolt to stop any adjustment.

I was thinking of getting all current gear as you are the 4th person to tell me about a situation like that now. Though all the bad points haven't put me off which is good. I will be buying it all out of the US to avoid mark up and GST. Probably directly from their own store. Though by the time my house is ready the products will have probably changed. So at this stage I am just going to have the house pre-wired for the cameras. Pretty basic. Just a single Cat6 to each camera area.

Sounds like something has collapsed. You should be able to visibly see if any of the ball joints are broken. It's unlikely anything is bent unless you hit something. Nothing down there can adjust itself it that way. Something has failed.

Looks like you're doing well in Aus Andrew. Kerry is building a 3ltr+ E30 M20 at the moment. Was just reminiscing our trip down to Manfield with our Black E39 540's and Ollie's Black E34 540 with the race cars towed behind. Someone's Navman took us the scenic way home over that narrow bridge.
