OMFG!! What is that interior supposed to be?? Leather that looks like it's made of wood? The steering wheel alone would make me not want to drive that car. Imagine staring at that for hours on end... Got noticed alright, but not for the right reasons..ewww.

M badge on the boot adds a few grand, as that makes it an M325i?

Extremely Poor Experience with Smith & Smith

Yeah, pretty sure all Smith & Smith places would be individual franchises, (same as Novus) so they may well vary from store to store. -

Does the Cummins diesel meet the EU4 emissions even?? -
Do you mean the bonnet hinge bit in the middle at the front? They are the same for pre and f/l. I have one here I took off my race car, yours for $40

Woah there big hoss, you are mixing my posts. In no way am I suggesting to attack cyclists. The early use of the horn is for people not paying attention at the lights. NOT cyclists.

Oh yeah, and the same day I checked an old lottery ticket and found it was a winner!

RHD Dodge Ram Trucks[new] available in September from dealer
E30 325i Rag-Top replied to KillerX's topic in Off-Topic
The really scary thing is, that by US standards, the RAM is not a BIG truck, just a slightly bigger than small sized one. They have some absolutely ridiculous sized pick-ups / utes over there. I remember the office lady, Patty, that worked in Atlanta for the Sales Company I worked with, 4ft nothing blonde, drove a truck that would need a HT license in NZ, so funny when she got in / out of it. And I never, ever saw it towing anything. -
Yup, which plays merry hell with the stop / start system in newer cars. Plus they are then so busy farting around with their bloody phone that they then miss when the lights go green, by the time you have got on the horn and given them a blast the lights have changed to amber because they have detected no more traffic coming thanks to the f**ktard, they go roaring through and then you are stuck there on a red-light. I have found the best way to prevent this is a pre-emptive strike on the horn..

Good work fella. Does the rolling E30 shell come with or without cracks...?

Birthday cards, presents, wishes, pay rise and a bonus... all on the same day. Choice bro.

Oh, and f**ktards that stop about 20m away from the car in front at traffic lights, usually because they are in such a hurry to stop and see if anyone has liked their recent twatter post. No wonder there are so many traffic jams in auckland, you only need 5 cars for a one mile tailback with those gaps.

^^ dressed in that get-up you are probably given a wide berth because you look like you have escaped from the local nut-house

Missing the point much.... I have negative attitude to cyclists, but that doesn't mean that I go around trying to knock them off their bikes. Quite the opposite in fact, I give them a wide, wide berth - as they wobble all over the road and I really don't want to deal with their guilt tripping on me. I do ride a bike quite often, and if you're worried about a motorist, try cycling to work along a narrow open road with stock trucks on the way to the sale yards sqeezing past. I'm sure I got licked by the cows on more than one occaision. The BIG difference is that I realize that being on the moral high ground doesn't help in an accident, so I think about when and where I ride (to keep out of the way basically) and ride defensively, not in some kind of angry vigilante attack mode. Only last week I had a wonderful interaction with a cyclist in Napier - wobbling his way down a narrow street with cars parked both sides, and traffic in both directions. No helmet and trying to shield his younger son (also no helmet) from the traffic, causing him to swerve all across the road. Realising what an accident waiting to happen this guy was I made sure I got nowhere near him so that it wouldn't be me that he finally managed to throw himself into. When I came across the same two guys later in town and I suggested he should be setting a better example and wearing his helmet the response was "those rules dont apply, I am my own god"! The words on his T-shirt "I am unstoppable". I really hope he has a DNR notice on him when he is taken into A&E. There needs to be much better education of cyclists (and more emphasis on policing them, rather than making money from speeding fines) any idiot can jump on a bike and pedal off along the road - whether they are a driver and know the road rules or not.

Cyclist of the week award goes to the clown that was cycling the wrong way up the road yesterday, extra points were awarded for: 1) the road in question being SH1 and pretty busy 2) having no helmet on 3) wearing a hi-viz t-shirt. I know many think wearing hi-viz makes you invincible, but from many injuries I have seen this is not true in real life!
-
Cyclists.. Get all righteous with drivers, but ignore all the bloody road rules. Run red lights, go over pedestrian crossings, cycle on the footpath (one guy on his mobile), pull straight out into traffic, wobble all over the road, don't wear helmets... No wonder so many get knocked off their bikes. Being a smug git isn't going to help when your flesh hits a metal car you twats!

Flywheel balancing Palmerston North - recommendations?

Motor Machinists did a lot of my engine work when I was in Palmy, always did a good job with a quick turn-around. -

Is it some sort of Kiwi tradition to drive around with your rear fogs on at Easter? So many dumbasses doing this on the roads this week-end, must be a reason for it. Also Skoda drivers that dont use their mirrors before pulling out into a passing lane.... faaaaarrrrkkk!!

I did hear one of the monkeys died when it went to Hamilton... are you the new incumbent?

Prototype BMW 7 Series G11/G12 crashes into Police Car
E30 325i Rag-Top replied to hybrid's topic in News
Way to keep the prototype on the down-low... might save a few Euros on the crash testing now though.. -
Designed by software, to meet frontal impact rules and aerodynamics targets. Doesn't allow a huge amount of difference unfortunately. Will be interesting to see when there are more views of the car without the camo and the lines are clearer.

Do you have the dimensions of the MTech2 version? Just wondering if it will fit on the bottom of an M3 front?

There are different option codes for the coding of lights and DRLs, can be set to - on with key, off, or selectable from menu. Can also depend on the rules for the market the car is going to be sold. If you can't find it in the iDrive menu then it sounds like the car has been built as "off", should just be a change to the coding to get it into the menu.
