The issue is the clutch wont stick with the switch. If we force the connection manually via wire then it sticks and the aircon will work. Hope that makes sense. A bit hard when hes trying to explain to me in our language and im not too familiar with the technical terms.
-
Actually my dad is working on it but from what he’s told me he’s replaced the ac clutch as it wasn’t moving but after that it still doesn’t move after starting the car. It will work however if he puts power on it via wire directly. The relay is a bit weird he reckons the wire going to the relay has been swapped over? Tbh it’s a bit past my knowledge so I’m not not even sure if what I’m explaining it correctly. Bottom on line is ac has never worked since we got the car and we suspect it hasn’t worked in a long time. Jap import btw

it will cost you a fair bit of money to get updated maps done by a shop. if someone on here can assist you for less you are going to be lucky. i think 6k is cheap but not a bargain considering the year/spec combination. these cars are only depreciating and that isnt changing anytime soon.

better keep this one..

Heres the one I sold for like 2k... nothing flash but a rust free non sunroof coupe with mtech rear spoiler and upgraded E36 seat conversion! -
new CIC (wide screen, doesnt flip down, more buttons on the controller) old CCC (smaller screen, flips down, more basic controller, old software) the CIC is better for sure but not by a lot. bluetooth connectivity is rubbish, you wont get music streaming anyway on either system.

very similar cars but major difference is the low end torque from the 320d. if you do mainly short trips I might just go for the 328i but if you do longer trips then the 320d would be fine. Alternatively, look for either or and find one in the right spec/colour/price and just pick whichever.

I don’t mind the seats in tan but the carpet and dash in tan is not my style for me.
-
Probably cuz of the price and the tan interior. I would have been keen otherwise as i really like the 2 door version
-
this looks like "SHANE3" the one that was part of a few discussions in the recent year. recognise that interior and black apex wheel combo on the blue. damn.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
qube replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
you would be sitting on about 40-45k worth of cars in the current value. maybe even more depending on the mileage etc -
any reason you didnt go for the F20? its so much more comfortable and modern compared to the E82. Totally different in terms of how it looks though.

the idiot's argument is that the n55 is less powerful and cant be tuned/modded as high power as the n54. this is somewhat true but almost negligible because the limitations of the car/chassis comes before you get into the territory of the difference between the engine and turbo's power output. the actual issue with the LCI e82 (imo) is that it was a testing platform for the N55 and had a lot of issues that were ironed out in preparation for it to be used on the F20. N54 is the better suited engine for the E chassis and the N55 is better suited in the F20 but in saying that, you dont get the cool DCT in the F so thats why I still think its cool in this combination. Treat it well and get it serviced with regular oil changes and the N55 is a very rewarding engine. One of the biggest issues is the waterpump and valvetronic but otherwise its pretty good. Only other issue is that leaking trans sump as navin mentioned which is the DCT specific issue but also easily fixed so otherwise all in all, fantastic car.
