  1. i brought a 740iL E32 off a diesel mechanic for a linehaul company, needed to use 3 foot of breaker bar to crack the wheel bolts, stripping a couple of the bolts in every hub in the process. Good job it was getting wrecked anyways. Diesel guys just seem to forget petrols (well... cars..) are much less forgiving
  2. very average picture, but here ya go. lowered a bit on 20x9s in the front and 20x10s in the back Wow dat E30 lyfe. never know how people manage to strip those, not like they are ever done up that tight to start with.
  3. Washed my new E38, then worked out why its running like a dog. Enjoying having one though, a real step ahead over the E32 then proceeded to rearrange the garage and get some other non-car jobs around the house done
  4. i think the E28 M30 ones are a bit taller, thats why you need to use them
  5. i have a 3.64 sitting here, stock facelift 325i with sport automatic
  6. you are better off to get the part number yourself and tell the dealer what you want. the dealers should but dont have time to search for your $2 clips. they will all be available through your dealer if you do the work. (dont think you will get a discount in thier margin however)
  7. follwed one of those last time i went to my moms up kaitoke. i should have kept following it to hear it up the rimutakas,
  8. sorry, cant go all the way back through your thread to work out if its automatic or manual, but if its an automatic, its not uncommon that the transmission cooler gets a leak, this is part of the radiator. of course, can always be engine too, but one look under the oil cap, and one removal of trans dipstick, should help you find the problem. feeling like a corolla might have been a better option yet? lol
  9. yeah, my thoughts too. spacers would be a better solution. Either way, you will need to certify the vehicle for the modification, and i would almost put money on it that spacers will be much easier to get through than any steering mechanism modification
  10. two things, one at a time. this thread failed to deliver.
  11. Please post price and preferably a picture, as per forum rules. Cheers
  12. i want to see that project one month further down the line!!!
  13. your findings on your one set of RE002s are inconsistent with mine, i have had them on 4 of my own BMWs now and have not found your wierd tread wear. I replaced my most recent set with Contis, more expencive almost twice the price (if you were buying new), and i dont think they are any better. I almost always buy second hand premium tyres from dealers etc. quite often you will get cars come to NZ then the dealers upspec them with bigger tyres, then sell off the stuff they came over on the boat with. my set of Contis on my E30 right now were only 4 months old, and still had the paint on them. they were from a Polo or a Golf, forget which one. they had never been driven on basically. even had the usual wayward handling every tyre has when brand new before being bed in
  14. are you the dude on the BMW page looking for one? would have had one with you shipped from here by now!
  15. the E30tech wiki is probably your best bet. most of the US threads are also still correct for our cars, despite the fact they are left hand drive. really the only difference in terms of this for rhd versus lhd is ignore anything they say to do with the exhaust, you will be doing your own. and the clutch has a different us for us, for them it runs off the brake reservoir
  16. those 333i are cool sure, and certianly the value is therefor some punters. but looking at the alternative, the M3..... why would you choose a 333i? not to mention they are dead easy to build, ok no serial number, but you could have that exact car built yourself for 10k. you cant do that with an M3. again, opinions are like...
  17. get something premium used alternatively RE002s are about $240ish in E36 size.
  18. i had a matchbox car of both the Mondeo and the Alfa will still have them somewhere, didnt even know they were part of that
  19. yeah refer to my post. need to find some way to hold them in place to start them on the thread. i suppose a 10mm socket with the nut in and a bit of insulation tape to hold the nut in the socket would work. but i find my tool very usefull. also great for putting bellhousing bolts in place
  20. thanks Jon, pretty sure its not tourist delivery, the service booklet is filled in here from day dot
