welcome! sell the simca, keep the corolla & squirt fishoil into every crevice and seam you can, and it should last forever. bulletproof drivetrain, rust was their nemesis. e30 manual 6cyl coupe? have you deep pockets, and a love of scene tax? they're a good car, but rather inflated pricewise in todays market. buy an e46 instead, better car, better value!

@EURO V12 sorry to hear that, man. come on crew, who's gonna scoop this legendary 5er up, and give it some TLC?

It's paint surface contaminants. you remove it with clay and lube. The clay mitt or towel is another gimmick; some like it, I'm unimpressed. Is there any more I can say? You can lead a horse to water...

You're asking the right man. This (or a variant of it) should be the ticket: http://barrysgarage.co.nz/product/autoglym-surface-detailing-clay-kit/

Lucan did because there's a little faffing around to get em out and back in again.
-

Which brand arms did you get, @Lucan?

welcome back. how far did your travels extend, in the end?
-
if you guys haven't seen it, Chickenhawk is very well worth the read.
-
I just added that to my reading list, cheers!
-
looking forward to seeing this one, Adro!

nice work, Greg! I'll award you the 'best of both worlds' prize!
-
Yeah, that's basically ransomeware!

Nathan, www.flickr.com is worthy of your investigation, as an online repository for your images. I've been using them for 12 years now; nothing like those dodgy gits at photobucket.

I like Blurple.

I tried to upload one (from my desktop machine) a couple of hours ago too, got a slightly different error (unable to upload, in essence). am able to link to an online photo without issues, though. Hope that helps.

Kelvin's open on Saturday mornings I found him on the recommendation of a friend who's very fussy with his car collection, and found Kelvin's pricing sharper than standard BTC. I value the relationship and individual more than the branding on the sign outside

good thinking, Kyu. Cory, I think it's pretty hard to go past Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003's. They're often on buy one, get the second half price (which is basically buy three, get four)... I have run them for more than 20,000kms on my e46 (225/45R17 and 245/40R17), and have more than 5000kms on my e60 (245/40/R18) and find them superb in the wet, quiet and grippy in the dry, and wear well to boot! What's not to like for a tyre that's no more expensive than the mid-range korean alternatives? I think they're superb, particularly at the money you pay for them. I go to Kelvin (owner) at Bridgestone Torrens Terrace, he's excellent on alignment and I find him great to deal with. HTH.

I visited D.C. A couple of times back in the 90's, and being a good car enthusiast (and running a VW GTi at the time), was looking to pick up car parts. Asking in the office 'hey is such and such place far from here' I was lead to a wall map, they showed the the destination, then devided the map into quadrants. "Nope, you don't want to go there. These two zones, they're safe. These two zones, you're likely to get shot. Don't go there. Clear?". Back then it was the murder capital.

I just want to take this opportunity to say, you guys are fab. I'll have a more detailed read through this weekend, so that I can get the right solution together. thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge. And thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hang on a minute mate. You can't quietly slip in here looking for a BMW code reader, cite a CEL light, and not disclose what your new BMW is! or have I missed your *big reveal* post elsewhere on this fine forum??
