Congrats, F series is way better then E66. Stunning car, need to see some pics! Although my rear suspension just gave out yesterday so maybe not that much better 🤦♂️

Pretty close to the spec I’d order also, great choices 👍

Locked brake on the one above, same results

Truck fires are way cooler then EV ones, take way more resource to put out and tidy up and happen in NZ quite a lot, nothing to do with V12s …. However B942FCE5-6031-4B68-8D3C-1C8774111E5D.MOV

Factory Msport with this mileage would be worth it, that’s about what I’ve spent on mine but the ACS kits for 7s just look tacky IMO. Difference in Rarity to desirability. Still I’ll keep the V12 even if it’s more warm then this. I’d want to see a timing chain guide change for that money as well. With so little running it’ll be brittle as

New Years polish, at least the paint job looks consistent from 3M’s 😉 Finished with a sealer and a couple of long drives

It will be very interesting how they tackle this, with plug in hybrids able to run EV only, taxing petrol becomes irrelevant for the EV ks. It feels like a reduction of petrol tax and a across the board ruc program would be the only real fair fix. Would take a balsy government to change that in the near future, and they only ever look at the current term

Or a Tesla 😉 Seriously while I love my V8s, EV is the cheapest best daily option today. Would run 91 if it was advised by a manufacturer. All BMWs are 95 at least that I’m aware of. Plug in Hybrid is probably the best mix, 330e seems a good option for one size fits all for most people. Ultimately limited options, give it a few more years and those models coming on stream now will filter through. I personally have a problem with diesel emissions so that’s not for me. But I get why they are a good option for a lot of people today still.

Hope it’s not to long a wait for you, I would have wanted all the kit and options as well, the look amazing

Keen to see when it arrives Hugh, what’s the delivery lead time on the 40? The quality looks exceptional if a bit quirky but I like it.

Off the scale, Electric BMW, personal plate, all boxes ticked, life goals achieved 😉😎

2nd year with us service at BMW. WOF, 2 new rear tyres and alignment, $960 done for another year. To easy 😎

Well the next issue popped up, alternator packed a sad on a weekend drive few weeks back. Luckily only close to our off-ramp and I could get it home and then down to our mechanic. New alternator, being water cooled PITA so left it up to the mechanic for this one also. Under $2k all up, pretty happy and we got a good deal on a genuine pump for $1200 in that. Well that’s all the big ticket items now, hopefully ……… At least it’s back and running sweet now

Yeah I bought direct when I got it, no issues at all, a lack of instructions but overall pretty straight forward and there is a few you tube vids you can look at prior for guidance

Who the hell buys a SWB for a diplomatic car? Normally these are 730ld’s for this duty -
Craig Shuester’s old X5, he would have looked after it, can put you in contact if you interested in having a chat. Also, I run an Avin Avant 3 unit in my E38 and for the last couple of years it has been great, would definitely recommend

Why would you put those wheels on, they are awful on this car, it’s whole point is understated
-
Unusual for these to go, there is usually a few bodies hanging around pick a part and likely they’ll have a working motor.
-
Yip, done all this and full suspension refresh on my 1999 E38, once done you can forget about the and focus on the next replacement part needed though 😁. Great work, looks lovely

I’ve put a couple of these in now, firstly the i3 and now the F01. Basically no brand things about that money, Both are great and I would recommend. Great having wireless CarPlay. And really not complex install, especially compared to that wiring you’ve just dealt with ! -
