https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m5/listing/4954050652 Top tier colour combo, looks like a very honest example. Would love to spend 8hrs in the garage with a buffer! Edit: optioned with the 9" rears and the 2+2 seating option. Very cool!

Good thing he saved the vape pods!

Saves 10 grams and adds 420hp

Buying genuine is no guarantee of quality though, you have to bear in mind that the dies and stamps for these cars aren't getting any younger - a prime example would be the absolutely awful quality of the 2002 guards coming out of Classic (nÊe Mobile Tradition) . I was involved in a cost no object resto of a turbo a while back and the first three sets of guards were rejected before a workable set was acquired. And I stress the word "workable." And what about parts being made that you can't buy from factory? E30 floor pans come to mind; they're notorious for ending up full of tin worm. Do you cut out factory steel from another shell or buy a brand new part? Both schools of thought with neither a wrong answer. Not sure there's a trademark issue here, unless GarageNO are stamping the BMW logo or part numbers into the panels.

It's got the same front as a Fisker Karma, and Henrik Fisker was the designer of the Z8 and E53 X5, but I think that might be where the similarities to any BMW end...

Hel are awesome to deal with! Got some F30 Brembo to E90 braided lines off them which they actually stock off the shelf.

(possibly paraphrased).

I've got a full set of E36 M3 calipers (same same as 540i) up in Auckland, but they need a rebuild.

As an aside, Seaview1974 is currently my favourite for asking punishing auction questions. -

I remember when it was first for sale a couple of years ago - those photos are from the dealer that imported it from Japan where I presume the system was installed. I thought for about 10 minutes about fitting it all into a 123d before I came to my senses. It's all rockford fosgate gear as well... -
Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Neil McCauley replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
It's not genuine as they never came in white, or auto. -
Leaving next week eh? Wonder if he'll take $2.5k đ

Dry ice blasting would be the go if you can find someone up North that does the work. Think the closest guy to Marsden Point that I know of would be in Dairy Flat though.

Slightly adjacent, but I love this video of Owen Evans collecting his 964 RSR off the ship at midnight in 1994. The salvors hammering away the wooden chocks from the slicks đŽ John Sax's son was restoring his old mans group N E30 M3 that was involved in the Longhurst incident in 1990, wonder if he ever finished it.

Getting snowed in, so tickled up the CSL in the garage

Rate this look very highly. Anything in stock? Must be the flappy paddle version.
-
Cheers m8! Gonna practice my wool pad skillz as they're sorely lacking. Not bad for a panel that was frozen to the side of the road for a week though đ
-
Messing about with some hellrot panels from a ti that decided to upside-down itself. first pass at 1000rpm with farecla G3 premium on a yellow pad with a Rupes 21mm DA. Gonna have some fun ending up burning through!

Did some late night Italian tuning - quick run out to Arrowtown and back. Got absolutely DUSTED on the Dalefield back roads by an Alfa GTV. The 1.6 was well above 7K and spitting flames as it rocketed past me đ God they're an achingly gorgeous car. 1299691.jpg

...You're making me want to snag that Shrick 302 on TM right now. Idle? What idle đ

17" replicas I'd say. 16" and 17" RS wheel faces are 34 hole, those are 38. Second pocket of the waffle doesn't look like it extends nearly far enough into the wheel spoke either.
