240 will need a manual e30 320 driveshaft . all the rear halfs are the same in e30, just the front that changes.

Just have a look through the gearbox drain plug at the gears. Youll soon see

Dme either not getting powered up (main relay possibly?), or not getting crank signal (faulty cps or wired / plugged in wrong) . Or like you said sme is faulty

You might be better off taking it to a mechanic that specializes in bmws. Might cost you less in the long run..

I've got a set of second hand ones, the wires might be starting to crack (just a guess, havent checked) but they are off a running engine. Would no doubt work fine if you're just looking for some replacements until new ones turn up. Also have spare DME's, airflow meters, good throttle body motors etc.

Not sure they are very cheap. And with modern cars having 8 or so airbags, would prob write the car off.

I cant remember exactly how the unloader relay circuit is wired, but if youve wired the starter through it accidentally that would make a relay race and cause it to jump in and out rapidly.

Selling coffee at bp is the worst thing to happen ever. I dont give a fukk about coffee , but it grinds my gears when i wanna get gas and there is 2-3 attendants making coffee and no one to be seen serving the till for gas. Stand around waiting for kents to finish making coffee before theyll take my gas money.

It all works except for the econometer. Change coding plug to a 6cyl one to get rev counter reading correctly
