I exploded a small case with a m50 doing a 3rd gear pull. It seriously does not take much to break one.

You can run a vanos ecu, need to change trigger wheel though and I believe can sensor needs to be changed. Just go stand alone, way more options and more control once you do. -

The M52 ones look much better, and would get rid of the cats but then you may run into O2 sensor issues. (would not be reading any difference between pre and post cat O2 sensors)

You can fit 3" piping under the head lights, if you trim the head light frames.

Looks good. The oil filter location on these engine always made me laugh though, what a f**k up! Definitely remove that restrictor though and go with the external.

If you're going to be replacing the engine and smoke is pissing you off then get some stop smoke from super cheap. Not the best for your engine, but whatever.

If it was tuned using VE that would work (which I think new link ECU's can do?), other wise if it was done with pulse width you'll need to adjust the entire fuel map.

That motors looks right at home in there, they're a nice looking engine. You'll enjoy the diff, had kayne do exactly the same on mine. It's a good looking car, don't ever sell it to get married or something stupid like that. You can always sleep in the back!
