Welcome. Is this an SMG model? You might have bought it from my friend recently.
-
Not even close. Rather crawl over glass for an M5 rather than one of these.
-
oooo.... where do you buy them??
-
Would that wing do anything?

Put the Soarer on the dyno last weekend, made a peak figure of 157rwkw which isn't too bad for the 4.3. The stock 4.0 engine would have made approx 127rwkw, and a lot less torque than the 4.3. Normally these have more but the active suspension pump is an approximate loss of 15rwkw Next I'll do headers that should bring it up to around 165rwkw, after that some sort of piggy back tune.

Wow, that's awesome. Didn't see you'd updated the front end. Just shows how fugly the 318Ti front end is.

Not bad. Although one thing I've found from experience old, tired automatic 6 cylinder 5 and 7 series E32-E34 etc are pretty depressing when all loose and sloppy. Could spend a few thousand minimum just sorting out brakes and suspension bushings etc. -
Yeah, I wouldn't really go near locked diff cars, tends to mean one thing.
-
They look nearly rust free !

E30 & E93 M3 Pickup Truck (or Ute, really)
Michael. replied to LemonHunter's topic in General Discussion
E92 is ok, that e30 is horrendous though. -
Still one of the best automotive sounds! Hardly boring!

Can't beat a conversion, makes it much more unique and special. Doesn't stuff the handling at all, if you get the engine as far back and low as possible. A lot of people think that, it might be the case if you used a huge 8 litre iron American boat engine. Most decent V8s are alloy, so lighter than M50 iron engines for instance, or just a fraction heavier (less forward weight too) I put a 1UZ-FE Toyota engine in my E36, was fantastic. I've been thinking about doing it again some day but with an E46 chassis, and using a 3UZ, 1UZs are too dated.
-
That's pretty decent, would make for a fun driving package where you can use ALL the power & get the most out of it.
-
Sounds awesome. What output is this 328i achieving on the dyno?
-
That exterior colour is awesome. Much better than boring silver or black ones.

Paying more for a good S62 M5 going by these price trends!

And .... an E60 M5 in Hamilton for $24.5K

Where did they find that interior wood! Doesn't really work with that black interior vs the design. -
I think I've seen that car around Royal Oak many times. Perfect condition for its age!
-
Hmmmm, hard to say, I'd assume around 7-8k too given it's had a respray. Not exactly a money maker, but might help with the right buyer that it's had a respray. Depends how good the rest of the car is, cooling system condition, suspension bush condition, engine / diff mounts and all those usual common wear items could pull the value down.

I just posted about this. Smith and Smith seemed to be the worst leading option, Novus not far behind, and you have to go to their workshops! I thought about who to go for and went with AA Autoglass Got a really nice guy from London, Steve it was. He did a good job without any drama. I pre-removed some trims to make it easier for him. Interestingly he said he first worked for Smith and Smith when he moved here, but left finding it not the best company to work for and also mentioned they use the cheapest Chinese glass, XYG or something - he said it wasn't uncommon to find finger prints inside the glass done at the factory! AA autoglass uses FUYAO glass which seems to be a decent OE rated quality compared to other makes.

Probably a poorly skilled driver, on wet wintery roads, driving beyond the condition on bingobong tyres.
-
Awesome. They should give it a good improvement. Wonder if the exhaust note will change much...
-
Yeah those roads are so bad these days. Really notice it on cars with firmer suspension. Regardless would have been a fun drive! Interesting you mentioned the rack ratio, I've noticed the somewhat lazy steering rack on the M3s too, it's just not sharp enough stock. Maybe they designed it to suit the EU market more? My rare Soarers rack is very quick, just makes it so good in the corners, 2.6 turns lock to lock I recall, so I certainly notice a lack of sharpness when hoping into other cars.
