Looks glorious with the facelift Anthrazit Metallic combination. GLWS

I'll be intrigued to see where that goes. I think it's problematic leaving a pre programmed computer with a few sensors to make emergency decisions, especially if peoples lives are at risk. Then again, is your average driver that has poor emergency skill going to do better - unlikely! Really though I just think such technology would have to have many fail safe mechanisms. How does it stop the owner fiddling with the vehicle? How fast should the vehicle go? How reliable will it be in the real world? How much interference will exist with yet again more infrared, wifi, gps singals in the mix among the countless devices already extremely dense inside cities? A lot of what ifs! But if it means people that hate driving / are useless at driving let go of the wheel and let a computer do it I'd be all for that. I would never let go of the wheel myself though. Yuck!

Yeah I ran the AC electric fan on the E36 V8 for a while and it seemed fine. Temps increased a bit in traffic and hot runs but nothing to be alarmed about. But later I installed a hydro fan that was solenoid controlled.

I can't help but think it's more proof of how cars are past their innovative stage seen in the 70s-90s and now they are just fiddling around with mere details that don't really matter.
-
Yeah those 90s spec wheels don't work at all. BBS 16'" for E30s
-
I haven't been keeping up with it since s18 I think. Seen a scattering of the new episodes though.

This is just ridiculous. Some people should not sell their own cars. It's like when people think they can sell their own house, they do a terrible job of it and do some emotional clownish write up about it.
-
They are such an ugly car though, it's not surprising to see the depreciation + those kms.
-
Holy orange BMW. That will fit in nicely at such an event
-
Interesting. Do you suspect it happens with vibrations when the car moves etc? As that would point to wiring issues, possibly in behind the unit or fuse / power distribution box. If it just happens randomly, I suspect it could be internal issues with the unit itself.... is it a stock item that came with the car? If so electronics do tend to wear out so you could have an issue of dry tracks / leaking Capacitors. I would be inclined to remove the unit, hook up a multimeter on the power feeds and see they hold at the correct voltages without cutting off. If that is the case it would be an internal head unit issue.

Disgusting. That story is just sickening. A lot of low lives in "clean green" NZ Time for some mace or something. Is that even legal in this country?

Sounds like a great idea. The key will be to find B roads, that are like C roads, away from any weekend traffic that would just ruin it. On the last gumboot rally I went on there were some great roads on part of the route. Christian with his M3 and myself in the E36 V8 had a great time

NZTA - Regulations when changing the motor suspension etc.

My cert for E36-1UZ-FE V8 engine mounts was $500. I just went overkill, 10mm thick steel plate etc. Bush style mount, but I'd used the factory style bushes in future. -
I've always liked the idea of a quad exhaust Touring. Looks sporty!
-
Yeah I don't really get their direction.

Couldn't Sam polish some life back into the old boot lid

For such reasons I find it beneficial to run my used oil through coffee filter paper and reuse it for another 5,000kms.
-
What a beaut. Those wheels finish it off for sure!
-
Fixing such details is key my friend!
-
I think there are better things to do with your time on a car. Spend 30mins - 60 mins cleaning the wheels!
-
Good results! Didn't break the bank too much? Did you put that strut bar on? It will help but the better ones to go for are those with rigid fixed attachment points than the pivot style ones that is on there.
-
Awesome. Thanks for the share!
-
That's disgusting. Does the owner of the car have any grounds to seek compensation of any kind?
-
"Private".

CSL for sure.
