  1. Press release seems to confirm at least some of what he claims - https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/united-kingdom/article/detail/T0016001EN_GB/bmw-330ci-clubsport-coup%C3%A9?language=en_GB Doesn't appear to be any 330i clubsport specific suspension or exhaust parts though
  2. +1 but you could say the same for all sort of cars looking back. Pricing on this particular car seems a bit much but i don't think its crazy given supply and demand, after all they are the last 3 series in the classical BMW era. Those cars are far removed from E30 ownership experience, someone spending a chunk of change on an E30 these days probably isn't interested in those cars this reason.
  3. Yes both rear wheels are pointing inward as you describe. I would of questioned it before driving off to see why they didn't bother, they probably cbf'd or didnt know how would be my guess, if something was damaged or worn you'd think they would of told you.
  4. Wouldn't be an M car without bearing failure
  5. Depends on your level of OCD really. Apart from what you mentioned in the kit I usually end up doing everything below for piece of mind. Guido, center support bearing and driveshaft nose bushing Re-grease CV with a new gasket Transmission mounts All shifter bushings Flywheel bolts Selector rod seal (usually leaking) and rear main seal Slave cylinder Exhaust gaskets and nuts
  6. Looks good for the most part but removing that old M badge adhesive would go along way.

    Project E39

Seems odd that it would crack unless something its been struck with something in the past
  8. I ordered a flashlight via Aliexpress during lockdown, came in 2 weeks. Seems to be like rolling dice from what ive seen.
  9. If its the ZF then Penrite ATF FS is what ive used Don't know anything about the GM but ive never seen on 6 cylinder cars here in NZ. Jacking it up and looking for the transmission build plate would confirm.
  10. You'd have to replace your projectors\reflectors in headlight assembly with units designed for LED for it to be legal (assuming they meet the a recognized standards here in NZ) Replacing existing bulbs in headlights and fogs with LED's is a bodge job because it's likely going to blind oncoming traffic, which is why its a WOF failure.
  11. What are they going on?
  12. By upgrade do you mean new housing replacements or just plugging in LED's into the factory stuff?

    Fuel hose lines

Standard 8mm\5\16" stuff available from most auto stores
  14. Sure there are many solvents that are worth a shot. If the dip has been put on thick it should peel off fairly easy once you get under it taking the spray paint with it. I've used D-Limonene and a 3000psi water blaster to remove dip in the past.
  15. I've read of clutch switches not being wired in properly causing hangs but that was more on M52TU engines, does your cruise control work ie clutch module wired in properly?. E46 manuals used electric fan instead of viscous i believe which may have some influence. When i did my manual swap i updated the DME to the latest as it was the first version ever released. Manual BMW's with DBW have never felt that great to me, reprogramming would probably improve that to some extent but its no cable.
  16. Lots of good ones but Delphine Metallic is one of my favorites, nicely balanced. Colour palette for the older models was impressive, it seemed to have to dwindled over time.
  17. Haha i was going to state exactly the same line but figured you'd say it yourself. More disadvantages than advantages when using a M54 in E30 imo.
  18. If you spending that kinda of money then a good set of headers, MAF\MAP conversion and a remap are proven and deliver good gains.
  19. I think BMW deserves credit for consistently creating oil leaks and engine part failures since the M50
  20. I remember the Bentley saying disconnect the dme harness rather than fuel pump relay but im sure either would suffice, remove spark plugs, hook up batt charger and crank at 20 or 30s intervals until the oil pressure light goes out
  21. 335i would likely be the better daily driver for obvious reasons. If its had its common failures sorted it should be fairly reliable, otherwise you may have budget a chuck $ for potentially expensive repairs and get your hands dirty. E30\M20 is a joy to work on compared to the E90\N54 and is just about as reliable and well build as a BMW gets, the turbo setup may or may not be though depending on time\money put into it. E30 would certainly be the more engaging car to daily if you not sitting in traffic. In saying all that i don't think anyone can really say all the much without knowing the specifics of each car. You'd have to drive both and decide for yourself at the end of the day as everyone has their own preferences.
  22. How long did you run it for? Maybe you flooded it

    E46 330ci Manual

Im surprised when i don't see a car still on the original fuel filter. Poly coupler is the way i go i think unless you have a bad joint.

Im not in disagreement about the current law but i highly doubt many are getting pinged for DPF's regardless when their vehicle was registered before or after 2010. As Jon said they are said they are looking at changes and you can almost guarantee there wont be a shortage of people failing for removing them. The excessive smoking aspect is one ive made from the start and my main gripe which emission testing will help curb.

Existing rules aren't enforced that well hence all the smokey pos still driving around.
