https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/product/1946541-new?product=61-21-6-924-023 Battery quote is not out of wack with a factory 90 ah AGM battery. Cheapest agm in NZ is roughly $330 for a reconditioned one. People spend $1000s on go faster bits but neglect the cars power supply. Just saying.

Andy , Stubie aerial mounted in your rear headrest with a standard inline 20db booster could work. Would have good height and should work through softtop. Booster something like https://www.aliexpress.com/item/12V-Car-Radio-Signal-Amplifier-ANT-208-Auto-Antenna-Booster-Louder-Speaker/32701889659.html?spm=2114.search0306.4.71.8QTSgU

Have a Alto before they became Nilfisk. Was a high end consumer model. First on went back on warranty. Second one has done two pressure regulators. Would recommend if using one for any length f time flow plenty of water through flow through them post blasting session. And don't leave them sitting for any length of under full pressure. Been 6 years now on same pressure regulator but I certainly won't buy this brand again.

Baby boomer ... there was some fact to what he was saying though. But there were popular generalisations for each gen. Apperatenly Igen are well balanced and I'm inclined to agree with some of the interns and grads of late.

Went on a behavioural management course the other day. Guy was saying that Gen X was the angry generation, and often has intolerance for younger generation....... What the fcuk does he know ..... some people need to take a concrete pill and hardern up ..... Gen x btw ?

Get to Auckland airport, plane delayed Wgtn weather the issue. Watch air nz cancell flights, flying Jetstar and thinking along the lines of a Tui billboard Starus board changes and Jetstar on time eh ? You say ! Get on flight an half expecting survere turbulence , two landing attempts followed by a back to Auckland with a stiff drink to follow. Anyways...... flight goes ok, worse than usually southerly approach with plane pogoing in most directions on the approach. Pilot lands first attempt and becomes an instant hero with most of the plane erupting into cheering and applause. Cockpit door opens and pilot / co pilot cool clam and collected. Thinkng to myself...... Those men deserve a DB" Well done Jetstar !

Doug DeMuro on M Cars getting rarer and more expensive
Neal replied to Gabe79's topic in General Discussion
So when's the standard E46 M3s going up in price ? Prices tanked in the last couple of yeas. E30 M325i money ? -
Great example. Mate brought a 327 Bathurst version with race history in the late 80s and got change from $20k ....still has it ..,.

Just noticed tha daughters helmet brand? Good spotting, my version of Mini works style. Dash is part of a series 2 XJ. Thought that moving the switches closer to driver would mean move chance of operating them when wearing a harness. Spent some time on cleaning up the garage to create room for assembly. Have decided that the original Mk1 project needs to be moved on so have prepared for easy access.

The factory aux cable and quality copies has a capacitor and a couple of resistors added to the lead. This in turn will tell the head unit that it has an aux connected and will appear as a option when selected.

Next engine project Allan ?

A few of us have young ones. Can set up a run suitable if interested ?

I think there has been a few discussions with about some of the after market ones failing shortly after install. I'd try for the OEM versions if going after market.

Can't miss this period without mentioning Yello . Still play the album stella a few rimes a year. Onto my second vinyl copy. Put a Cerwin Vega IB sub into my 323i E21 in 1986. A mix tape had this track on it. Was great for loosening bumper bolts.

Look to your left and up slightly..... subliminal picture has appeared a number of times ?
-
But the grin on the daughters face more than makes up for it ...... can we go in daddy's car ...... If you think about they are a smaller version of a race seat with a 5 point harnesses
-
So you and I know how just how bad these are for getting child seats in and out of.

It might not have the top tether anchors as mine didn't but they are still available for order.

Its quite interesting an dilemma when a car is built using quite a number of parts suppliers. I wonder how many different brands going into making a car. The commercial and legal contracts that go into building a car must be massive. We thing of the car being BMW , but the reality is that's it probably a collection 100 plus brands. Either way .... safety comes first.

This comes down to a risk position by the car manufacturers. They've got caught out in taking too long to redeem in the USA. You and I are carrying the risk in the mean time and choose to drive a car with defective air bags whilst the recall is done.
-
In a brighter note the local dealer has ordered an airbag for the second recall on air bags for my imported e46 m3. Gets installed next month. Came across this the other day. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/05/18/528966358/4-car-companies-settle-takata-airbag-lawsuit-for-553-million

It's been a project that's been sitting too long. Started working on it again. Trying to create a 60s retro cafe racer / weekend Motorsport car. This weekend was around trying to bring the switchs closer to the driver in the hope I can reach them whilst using a harness.

Punk talk reminds me a bit of the clash. Mate of mine went through a punk phaze when we were teens. Built him a stereo from bits I had lying around. He did the Johny Rotten thing and never got to see his 21st. He gave me a copy of Rock the Casbah on 7 inch which we thrashed on his system. Every time I hear it it gets played with volume. Probably not up to slam dancing these days though.

Saw them in 2005 and agree. Fantastic concert. Whole crowd drinking and not a spot of Agro. McGowan pissed and waltzing around with Kisrty Macoles niece who sang kirsty's part. He drunkly trips over and lands on top of her. Gets up and laughs and carries on the song fairytale of New York. Was brilliant ?

Tried an alternative tune for the system. The 5.25 inch ppi drivers weren't giving the mid bass performance I was after where as the sub could quickly overwhelm the system. Ive changed the cross over points so the 5.25s now crossover at 97hz and brought the sub upto 100 Hz. I've also reduced the sub output by -10 db. I've offset the passenger side by a 20 cm time delay to sync with sub distance and then adjusted time delay on drivers door speakers until I hear a mono image in centre stage. The result has been better than expected without the perception of bass coming from behind. Midbass has improved emencly and finally the system is well balanced with good up front sound. I'm ready now to start fine tunning the 1/3 octave equalisers on each channel via a microphone. Also need to sort out the photobucket mess in this thread
