I Have a bit of this. Possibly the birth of industrial / had dance. I still have a mix tape in the days when you'd copy of radio. John Barry's album hour, I think from memory you could hear it on AM on skip in Wellington after dark. Jb would play an album end to end. Anyway, CV comes on and its nothing like I'd heard before. Loops and samples with a real edge. Clever stuff considering the processing power at the time. Anyway ... could you imagine a concert starting like in this track

Remember this band anyone ? Quite dark lyrics in the album but always liked the bass lines.

Got to see them in 2005 in London. Was on my bucket list and I throughly enjoyed it. Have the albums and most of the 12" long plays. "Up on the catwalk "is a regular play in the car Great band from my pov .

The ironic thing about the successful bands is how they started. When you think of simple minds most people think of pop culture tracks like "The breakfast club" I like some of the early tracks where they were a bit raw and not "over produced" like the church btw.

Magazine eh , something I don't have. Herd the first one but never knew the band. Remember these guys.? One of my favourite bands of the 80s
-
One of the more obscure 80's indie bands Fad Gadget . The 12 inch version had plenty of stereo panning going on. Laughable music video and very 80's esk

Quit a lot of my indie listening has fallen away. Really need to invest in a record bath/ vacuum system and record the stuff digitally fir the back catalogue that can't be brought. However, Still listen to Killing Joke these days. One of the band members lived in NZ so have been hopping they'd get together and run a gig down under. I'm still waiting .......

Was offered $320 pounds for the forest a while back. Still going for half price from what I can see. Have body electric on 12 inch as well. NZs answer to Devo. There was also another local band "Marginal Error" some people may remember their track " this heaven" was the background music to "Radio with Pictures "

Here we go.... and your right on the Cure album name Faith. Ive got one of those rare Cure Green plastic 12 inch 45s with " a forest" .Limited run and only in NZ.

Now this music needs its own thread ? From all cats are grey.... a very dark album

I think this one has always been priced slightly higher than the market. It really needs the ACS wheels to match the ACS style (genuine ? )spoiler / rear wing and rear valance. Theres a ACS e46 M3 in Wellington with similar kit and it looks stunning looks stunning . SMGs are now cheaper to repair now that motor replacement kits are available.
-
Not sure if the pump is the same as the m3 but here is a electric motor replacement kit video. If the motor in the pump is an issue then it's no longer a 3k plus repair
-
The compact doors are unique in that they have speaker holes in the door. Ideal from an e46 pov.

Factory mid bass is a shallow 6inch driver. 5.25 and 6.5s will need an adapter to fit with the existing mounts. Many won't fit depth wise without cutting a hole in the door as per Zeros post. There are a few drop in speakers from bsw, focal , cdt audio and also Dayton audio sets via eBay. They tend to be pricey but make the install easier . There is a small company called technic that makes a wiring loom adapter which uses the factory speaker wired to aftermarket amp that's worth looking at.

I find it will work on internet explorer but not on Microsoft edge explorer Hit the search icon next to the windows symbol on your desktop tool bar. Search for internet explorer. Select it and run bmwplanet as you would normally. It should start up the java plugin.

I think this was the original PDF guide he did. e39_jap_2_euro_nav_conversion_mar09.pdf -
Get an Aprillia 250cc two stroke. And learn to ride the pants off it. Getting litre plus bikes makes it too easy to develop bad habits earlier on in my humble opinion. Otherwuse , get the meanest bad@assed litre plus bike you can afford and scare yourself silly, you have a licence now that says you can. Ignore that little voice of caution and comon sense that keeps nagging away and holding you back ?

Its a bit misleading. 3 road versions but a number of race versions around (two in nz ?). Saw a couple of E46 M3 GTRs racing against GT3s in a support race for a1gp at brandshatch. Sounding awesome going up the hill.

Sound like you need to try an BMW s1000rr.

Probably enough interest now to get it going again. Would be keen to pass this on. Used to find out side f the committee you'd get replies from only a few to events. Normally events would be augmented with Bimmersport or friends out side of the club with BMWs. Plenty of pluses like legal protection during events, manz affiliation etc. For myself I think I was kidding myself thinking I'd have time with new family and mid life career change. Happy to call an agm and vote in new president for others to get it going again.
