  1. Not that many. I would hazard a guess at 1 in 20 being manual for 335is Much more 135i manuals out there. Transmission isn't weak.
  2. Sadly, the country is full of the people that haunt trade me.
  3. Probably an E60/61 at the moment. Big enough to fit the kids and they look better than the other models of their generation. Would go 550i if it wasn't for the valve issues. Probably a facelift 530i would be the go. Although, a tiny tiny bit over $10k nets you a F10/F11 528i. As a utility vehicle I would get one of those.
  4. Hankook S1 Evo 3. Haven't heard bad things about RE003s but haven't tried them myself... Grab some Laufenn LK03 if on a budget.
  5. Yep I'm binning the PS4S next time and going with Hankook. Also used Penrite 10w60 in my M5.
  6. Yeah, could make a cool car out of it but better off with a M5.
  7. Penrite 10w60.
  8. Yeah I am not sure if it's something to be proud of? I had one E60 M5 and I occasionally miss it but I'd rather have 10 different cars. But each to their own, good for you.
  9. Tracking and hydroplaning would be my biggest concerns, plus you save a few bucks buying the smaller front tyres.

    Black Car Care

Nice, your pics show the effect a bit better. It doesn't fix everything but it does a damn good job of hiding it.
  11. Having a black car is a pain at the best of times and I have had too many of them. But my current has the additional issue of road rash everywhere under the half way line as everything gets picked up and smashed all over the side of the car with parts of the car in the line of fire looking grey, it's that bad. It has annoyed me for quite some time as it looks nasty up close or in full daylight. So I thought I would give a black car polish a try and purchased Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Black Liquid Polish. I gave it a go today and damn, the results are fantastic. You can almost forget the rash is there anymore! Results speak for themselves but additional benefits over amazing rash coverage: Easy to moderate effort to apply and remove. Cheap. Cost me $20 as it was on special, and I got a voucher. Good slickness. Good shine and depth. Doesn't dust white or leave white residue like a lot of other polishes, which is super annoying on a black car. Can be used on black plastic trim, it restored my mirror arms to black from the grey they were. Will see how long it holds up and I might go over it with Meguiars ceramic wax one day, or I might just use this alone, or team it with the Turtle spray wax. There's probably better products for depth and slickness but for what it has achieved in my scenario it gets a solid A. I'd recommend to anyone with a black car.
  12. Ah, true, not that I am aware.
  13. I think 300hp would be enough to have a balanced drive. Any more would start to become too fast for a fun NZ countryside outing.
  14. Wowsers. I don't so much care for the wide body but the rest is sweet. https://www.sundaydrive.co.nz/vehicle/1989-BMW-3/6605?s=1
  15. Looks nice to me. Throw a warranty on it and go for gold.
  16. Compared to a Highlander, yes they are horribly unreliable and expensive to fix. Compared to other BMW, only a bit worse that average.
  17. Cool. The polish might work better on dark colors or cars with light scratching. I found polish gave a deeper finish before applying ceramic. Polish was much harder to apply and remove. Ceramic is stupid easy to apply.
  18. My old E55 was like that.
  19. That gets you a brand new Maserati! Or get a brand new Alfa Giulia Veloce and save 60 grand. Not station wagons I guess...
