Yeah when I was 17 I got jumped outside work when I jumped into my e30. Some fairly normal looking guy waved me down in the car park and being the good c that I am, I pulled up to see what was wrong. He then said what are you looking at and if I had an eye problem (lol). He then grabbed me by the collar and started punching me in the head which was nice, and said to give him all my money and my phone. Luckily for some reason I didn't have my phone that day and only had my eftpos card on me so he said "your going to drive me to the bank and get all your money out". Sweet as bei, Being 17 I had about $30 in overdraft in my account anyway. Then he ripped my mitre ten name badge off and said if you drive off I'm going to find you and went to walk round the front of the car. I put the car into first and launched it at him harder than I have ever launched the race car even. He managed to just get tagged on the leg and I drove off. Had I hit him I swear to baby Jebus I would have reversed and run him over multiple times. He didn't come back to find me. That's one of about 7 times that's happened to me in my younger days. Admittedly I was asking for it driving around in nice cars. Zzz

Fellow BMW Fanatics: Im Kurt, new member of the forum and first time poster! I purchased a 2007 e92 335i before Christmas which made for my first European car. Previously Australian v8 and more recently a 2002 200sx/S15. I wanted something a little more subtle that didn't draw as much attention and settled on the classic lines of the e92 coupe! So far only minor modifications of suspension, wheels, interior bits n bobs have been done since receiving the car stock as a rock. To do list is as follows: DCI (Intake) Jb4/cobb/remap (Unsure what route to go at this stage) Tints Angel eyes Roof Wrap (gloss black) When that's boring: Either Turbo upgrade with supporting downpipes/intercooler etc or Meth kit I look forward to meeting you friendly folk around the roads this year and trust you are all soaking up some summer sun out on NZ favourite "twisties" .

Almost every smoker I know has quit (or attempted to) as a new years resolution. I wonder how smoking rates have changed among the poor, if at all. You have to feel for those families who are skimping on the necessities because mum and dad are spending shitloads on durries. Just an unfortunate consequence of the policy I guess.

so... fixed! No need for the Universal German Car Repair Procedure:

Ive noticed end of last year and this year its actually now pretty much anti-social to smoke ... Was at a concert recently and the smokers took themselves far away from the crowd. to light up. Most people I think know they only have a few years left of it .. I personally think the government should just fast track the banning of it because we as a nation are ready socially to accept the ban.

Only the spare is still the 15" Cross-spoke original. You can still buy replacement wheels from BMW. Show us some pix of yours then we will know how good it is. E30 M3s will never be 20k! Looking at your birthday, my car was registered in NZ 1 week after you were born! LOL!

I still have the cradle and the hoist mechanism although it needs a new cable. Hardtops are probably more useful in colder climes but can still be very beneficial in our wet winters. True story that this car will be an enthusiasts weekend ride and not a daily driver. Looking at your birthday, my car was registered one week after you were born! LOL!

i want a lid for mine! afaik it was never supplied with one. They are easily attainable out of the US or Europe, for $1500 or so, just the shipping makes it a bit uneconomical. I would put money on mine being as good as yours condition wise, mine comes from a similar history, just without the tourist delivery part Do you still have the original 15" basketweaves it came on? They will be $20k cars again in the future, but E30 M3 are still obtanium, i dare say a real E30 entusiest is still more likely to wait out for one of them if the budget allows.

Yes, I knew yours was lighter, just love Lachssilber, my old wagon was that colour, must be the only grey/silver car I have owned that was rewarding to polish. Nice work Josh.

The 'scenes' thing for different car marquees is defanitely an age thing. People chill out a lot when they get older... still like different cars and brands but with less tudes everywhere. Its quite refreshing.

It's even got a "tip tropic" gearbox, must be the climate adjusted model no good in sub tropic regions.

Not my opinions, just pointing you to the other thread, hopefully there is someone out there who will appreciate it as much as you. My car had a hard top with it from new, I ended up selling it as it became a complete pain to store it and it was never used. When new, and these cars were dailied the hard-top was a great option to have in the winter. Chances are that now they will only be used as second cars, for sunny Sunday afternoon drives (sweeping generalisation there). Has yours got the stand and lifting cradle still? Makes getting it on and off 100 times easier if you're on your own.

Haha Mike. Typical.. There should be more JDM owners like you! Would make the car scene one big happy family! It was an okay event, very busy. I think my Euro Only Event aspiration event meter has been bumped up.. Need something awesome for Euros

^ An interesting experience. I guess this is the snobbery between different car scenes. It's pretty pathetic, but what can you do. Wow there was a Toyota Century there. I should have come

A baseball bat cannot be classed as a weapon if it is accompanied by a glove and ball. I believe the alloy bats are the better ones

So, who wants to order some detonators to strap to your fuel tank and wire them up to a GSM module so when you ring your car it explodes. Would rather destroy my car and take scumbag with it, then let someone else destroy it.
