6 pointsThe coupe is rare, rarer than an E-Type! Look up Harrys garage on Youtube, he has a nice blue one that he did a video on recently. This Touring inspired me to buy mine back when I had one, still love the colour and wheel combo.

2 pointsBasic animal reaction, back someone into a corner by making it obvious they are in the wrong and it's fight or flight time. A few will back down, like the guy who does back up the path, but most will rear up, like the guy with the gun.Even a rat will grow a pair when it is cornered.. Hence the reason direct action like this can go wrong, the reaction is very often irrational and unpredictable.

1 pointProbably not this bunch (no offence), and to be fair wasn't my bunch, but because I'm completely awesome, thought I would ask (the awesome part is a joke) Anywho! 1st thing: - Ardmore Showdown. http://www.ardmoreshowdown.co.nz/ this Sunday. I have been lovingly gifted two spare Competitor entries to the day from the Ardmore Showdown Team. I had a few more, but my ECC members took them. This gets you and your vehicle entry into the Show n Shine, Drags, Burnouts, Gymkhana for free How fantastic. So would any lovely members like to snatch these two up? I will be down there with my M3.. it will probably be parked up, I'm not the street racer type drag girl unfortunately. Registration is between 7-9am. Leave there at 5. Car parks in the whole day. Awards on the day for those who want it, and if you want to drag, you need a helmet. You will need to meet with me on the day to grab them. 2nd thing: - Bayswater Auto Show! The lovely organisers have warmly invited myself and the club (at this stage ECC) through to the event. It's FREE entry for Exhibitors (eg you) and has a taste of all things auto. Loads of awards as well and the best part is that it is Family Friendly, yay! If you would like to fill this nice event up with some BMW's, please be sure to register! Link: http://www.schoolground.co.nz/bayswaterautoshow/128134/ Mention you are with Euro Car Club NZ and you can be parked with some other Euros.. Or you can be a loner, that's cool too! I have attached the flyer. So Tickets x 2 - anybody? Entry to the Autoshow, open to all Edit: Links help. Dur

1 pointCan think of the following 1. Get a quote from a panel beater to repair the damaged totally. Will give you an idea of how much you will be up for and if you could reduce that cost. 2. Call in any outstanding debts owed by people you know in the motor trade etc. 3. If only bumper damaged take the car to a place that repairs bumpers/ plastic welding and paints etc and get a price ask if bumper removed refitted by you/ friend will it reduce the cost. 4. Trade me option here you have bumper cost, transport to you, painting if not correct colour. If you can remove refit the bumper your self or friend can this will help reduce the price. Considering a new, primed only, bare bumper could be close to a grand if not more then it would appear to be a good price would need to be checked out though. The only other issue is what damage is their behind the dent that is already their. As some clips or support brackets maybe damaged you will not know this until the bumper is removed.

1 pointI bought the yellow E30 urethane engine mounts.... turns out they were made from thick custard jelly , no good for racing, maybe ok for road.

1 pointYes full control and display on iDrive. You can sort by album, artist etc just like on your phone.

1 pointMade rarer by the fact that most of those coupes have either rusted or busted many years ago. The 70s was not a good time for build quality at Jaguar, thanks to both BL and the Unions.

1 pointGlad you are getting somewhere with this. I was towed from my workplace (Vodafone) many years ago by some twat who had no authority to request a vehicle towed. He didn't recognize my new car. The car was towed in reverse and they badly damaged the front bumper and curbed a wheel. Same issues with the towing company. They were impossible to deal with. They don't require customer service whatsoever. Vodafone reimbursed me for all damages and the towing fee in the end. But it took me a long time to track down who had requested it in the first place. It took him bragging about mistakenly having a car towed to a co-worker months later. I did plot revenge but I think he knew it was coming and left shortly after.

1 pointdont mean to thread jack or anything but like you dave, i met SJ at my cafe's meet last month and im so glad he was there. i asked for some help with my car to get scanned etc and sj offered and drove all the way to my place in mt wellington and spent a good hour scanning the s#!+ out of my car. for free! (i owe u one for sure) he was awesome, knew what he was talking about and walked me through the whole process. although his shop is in the north shore, i will gladly make the drive over to get anything done by him/apex automotive and will be recommending him to all my friends. and back on topic, looks like your car has made great progress dave! must take me for a ride one day

1 pointsomtimes trade ins are worth it because its a good way to take a couple of grand off the new car's asking price. so essentially you are getting a bit less for your car as trade in but the new car for less as well. just a matter of finding the right dealer who has an e60 and is willing to take your car. but in all honesty, i would buy private over a dealer. especially because most dealer's bmws will be jap imports and everyone here knows NZ new is just better. good luck man!

1 pointLong time no update! Probably because there is nothing really to update. I got a company car a few months ago and free gas keeps me out of the BMW most days but it was long overdue a clean so thought I'd bring it into work for the day. After driving a Toyota Corolla for 3 months it's nice to sit in a real car again.
