Over half my friends list being in support of France yet no care for countries like Iraq Syria etc that get that stuff weekly. Like changing your profile picture does anything, get out there and help if you really care so much

Lol at Anyyone saying its a way for criminals to put plates on a stolen car/ getaway car. As if they're going to sit there and order a set of plates which is easilly traced via name/email/ip addy/cc details/whatever else, get them sent to an address that is easily tracked, and have to wait a couple weeks for them to turn up before they go and rob a gas station for $200 worth of cash/ciggys/whatever. There is no reason we shouldn't be able to run a plate that looks virtually identical to a NZ made one, provided you "own" that rego number. I remember aaaaages ago when germanplates.com had the exact NZ plates font and fern logo. Plates.co.nz quickly put an end to that. Utter PC BS

Gave the 320d a rest today. It deserves it. Pulled the wings off one of the 318i coupes, removed the wiper motor and mech. That project is going a lot deeper than I'd planned. Oh well... Soon be summer so hopefully we'll have some good weather so I can it outside. Narrowly avoided buying a 525iX touring. This buying cars thing is getting out of hand!

I'm Jelous. Had to drop my son over to Halcome yesterday. Parked on the side of the road are 2 740i's, 2 750il's a E36 328i coupe and a 850i all in the same driveway. I stopped and knocked on the door but nobody was home. I'm wondering what BMW they where out in..lol I'll be heading back in a few days so will stop in again. Wanted to take a pic or 2 but didn't feel right taking pics of someones house and driveway. I'll ask if theres someone home next time. Was a nice collection though.

Vice nice, hopefully goes to a true enthusiast, and not some one wanting to slamit and drop in a bridgeport ...

The journalist writing that had a golden opportunity practically slapping them in the face to comment on the monopoly. Typical NZ Herald, weak reporting effort with no passion for their job. Probably hoping for another minor celebrity to fart on TV so they can pop it on their front page.

Definitely a move in the direction of money collection.

Probably easier to get higher numbers from the Tooter engine though - have seen 1600+hp and planetary levels of torque on other websites.

Could be keen on the wheel for the new project, will need to have a look at sizing first this when the car arrives, but definitely keen

Definitely stopped being a work of art when you started drawing pictures in the paint on the bonnet with your car key.

If you want a proper job you wont be paying $160 someone else to do it. OCD does not cater to the price sensitive end of the market, although they can sell you the best products and tell you how to use them

I LOL'd when I saw that listing. No stone unturned in talking it up! Pricing and condition suits an enthusiast, so (hopefully) it's pretty safe. I am not criticising the price by the way - would cost a lot of money to find one and bring it up to that condition.

No excuse for it in some places but I have used it from time to time, as long as it's used correctly as a replacement for the gasket and not as used above as a joiner reusing what's left of the old genuine gasket

ugh, so much orange gasket poo. Hate how some people just cant do a job properly. Good work on the fix. Valve covers are looking good too, keen to see what the silver looks like in the engine bay.

It was a sight to behold. I'd have to take a couple of pics to get it all in.

I want the full size Euro plate for the back and the smaller than normal one for the front but over 800 to do so on top of the combination

Went to pickapart and got an e36 motorsport one for $16 Below is a picture of: 1. 318ti Standard sway bar - 25 mm 2. 318ti Motorsport sway bar - 26 mm 3. E36 Motorsport sway bar - 25.5 mm 4. M3 Motorsport sway bar - 23 mm I now see the E36 and M3 ones have a bigger hoop in order to make room for the 6 cylinder.

yes but you can only get it made in the same style, otherwise its a significant cost just to change style. There is no good reason in the world it should cost $400 to change from a standard govt issue plate to a govt issue euro plate (even more insulting is the small fee to get a euro plate remade... obviously the cost to process and make the plates is less than $30, so why the extra $370?) And no, no one will come along and offer "green and yellow" plates, because its illegal. Even if someone came along and made exact copies of the legit plates ltd plates, at a lower cost, itd still be illegal... because the law states they have to be made by... plate ltd. It baffles me how theyve gotten away with this crap for so long.

+1, even washing with a car wash solution can remove the coating. Meant to be washed with just water, or their own special wash solution. We use dura-seal at work, i dont rate it personally. If you want another coating put on, http://www.ocdetailing.co.nz/ are the guys to go to for C.Quartz.
