You can see by the colors in my little app there. 9.8 is at the high end for me. Usually sits around low 9's. Ignore my average though. I messed up a few fills. It's good to compare some fuel usage between drivers with a similar driving style for once haha. Just checked. Best ever was 7.51 L/100kms. On Gull 98. All open road KM's going from Mtown to Auckland. Mrs must have been asleep.

So curious to see if this deal actually completed. And how much effort it took.

Body color door trims back in, rear doors need a good clean and right rear is waiting for a new window regulator. Next up, clean the seats and put them back in, finish stereo fascia, degrease engine bay, fit handbrake shoes, attempt to get WOF....

Date: 23 Sep 2020 Distance: Perth, WA, to Wellington Niu Zild, via Seedney. 1. More M42 prep So this happened. Found in WA, bought via the book of faces, and slowly made it's way here in the time of Covid. Yes, I believe that that looks like David Jones wrapping inside the Australia Post Parcel Box? Oh yes! e30 318iS loom. Result! ?? Right then, that's into storage. Along with the high-temperature TESA loom tape that I bought to freshen this up. M42 DISA QUESTION: does anyone know if any extra wiring is required for the M42 e36 ECU to run the e36 M42 DISA with this e30 M42 iS loom? I’d really like to have the benefit of DISA. Next Steps: Centre console - clock (have parts) Driver's window - fix in regulator to address wind whistle Address non-functioning remote door mirrors Rear Parcel Shelf, Noise deadening, Premium Rear Speakers (have parts) Fog light rebuild and install (have parts) Horns install (have parts) Wheel alignment (last done 259342kms) - it's over a year, and I think it's settled a little. 15" Basketweaves and tyres - need wheels and tyres ... plenty to keep me entertained in the mean time!

Great result, even better shot of the M3!

Nice one. Make sure you don't get back just labour but any fees for reading the codes. They charge an extortionate amount for a 5 minute job and failed you miserably by not doing it properly (or at all).

Oh, interesting about the adaptations, I always assumed they did reset with a battery disconnect! Definitely promising in that case... Yeah, a dongle with a USB cable, plus a link to some software called iFlash. BTW, if anyone else ends up doing MILVs, I bought the spring removal tool and happy to share it round!

Offered a job today! Will be great to be doing something again as I haven't worked since the start of lock down. Also means I can get the e30 "finished"

@EthanJ FYI - wouldn't recommend Takapuna mufflers TBH. My Supersprint is on and sounds good and looks good but once I left my car (and they wouldn't commit to a price up front), shock horror, I got given a million different reasons as to why it didn't fit correctly, how tricky a job it was (was designed for E46 330i) and the extra time they had to spend and ended up getting my pants pulled down on it a bit. Lesson learnt - get a quote before leaving a car with someone / if it looks like a Cowboy, it probably is a Cowboy. Also, what kind of business does not have eftpos in 2020? I suspect one with a healthy disregard for the IRD
