4 pointsHey guys. Up for sale again is my 2007 530d Motorsport. I have recently serviced it and it is due at 135ks, currently sitting at 125xxx kms RUCS due at 135k so 10k RUCs. I have not been using it much at all this year due to moving to Hamilton and having to commute (Motorcycle is my vehicle of choice for this). Very tidy condition. There is some wear on the upper windshield rubbers front and rear (common issue). Has Bridgestone Tyres all round with legal tread. Will have a fresh WOF when sold. Rego Expires in December. I have taken care of this car meticulously and it was my pride and joy but I really needed a wagon so purchased a 2010 320d Touring for the dogs and kids. Has NZ Navigation, Bluetooth calling, heated seats, all sorts of nice options, xenon headlamps, headlamp washers, etc etc, ex UK car but has been in NZ since 2011 and I am the 2nd NZ owner I believe Has a K&N air filter installed. Has two keys. Trans has been serviced too. Test drives welcome. Viewing in Glenfield during business hours as I am still working on the shore till my workshop sells. The only non factory item is the rear Alpina style wing I have put on which is not shown in the pictures. After 11k firm. Lowest KM example for sale. Have not listed on trademe yet but I will soon. Also the personalized plate is not part of the sale. will come with a new government issue plate Contact SJ 02102916373 for viewing and test drives Car isn't being used at present so is in storage at my shop.

2 pointsSlightly OT but related to BMW styling. Saw one of these at CJ BMW yesterday, actually a very cool looking car.

1 pointNew Zealand new, factory manual 325i in Bronzit Beige. 4-door. 1988 pre-facelift. Complete car, rust in the typical areas. On lowered springs, have a set of factory springs. Starts first time, runs well and brakes work. Registration is on hold and last WoF expired 18/08/2018. 248,380 kilometres, drives well but due for a replacement cambelt (previously done on 16/03/2009 at 225,800 kilometres) and service. Service history from new until 26/05/2010 at 238,676 kilometres. My partner and I have recently had a baby, I’ve had some health issues and we’ve been renovating our first home. I’ve lost my storage and the E30 fund has gone on the house. Reluctant sale, but genuine reasons for it. Good project for someone with the time for it. Car is located on the North Shore, Auckland. You can contact me on 0275317041 for more information. $6,000

1 pointI have not been online here since I had my E39 Touring....just lurking. I finally sold the E39 to someone local but alas it is no more since he rolled it off the road and down a bank. I saw the photos and it was a definite writeoff😠. The Nav system finally decided to behave and locate satellites without me having to fit a new antenna. I followed up with a nice E92 330D Touring for a few years until I took over my brother-in-laws boat when he returned to WA. No way would I be putting the rear of the BMW in salt water so I sold it and bought a RAV4😡. It was a nice enough vehicle and pretty economical at 8.4l per 100km. Trouble was the weather was crap and just as it cleared up enough to go fishing I sold the boat...Aaaagh! Not a total disaster as my wife has a F33 430i after a couple of 320Ds so I could still get a BMW fix although I missed the torque of the diesels. At long last I have traded the RAV4 and am back in a BMW...a very nice white (Jap import)2014 F20 M135i Radio has been converted to NZ but the Navigation is still Japanese Maps so one of my first jobs will be to get the NZ maps loaded and working. As I am waiting for a E-Net cable laptop purchase to arrive I don't have ISTA+ loaded so I'll get that done for me. Recommendations of someone reliable who can do it would be appreciated.- Auckland, Hamilton preferred. Hotwire, is this something in your "Box of Tricks"? I'll probably use Johanne at BMAutobahn, Mt Maunganui for any work I don't do myself On my list of things to do: Retrofit Cruise control Auto boot opening strut Sort my laptop with ISTA+ So how does the F20 go? Its everything I want powerwise and my wife, who has a pretty heavy foot and punts her 430i along swiftly, is most impressed and has even condescended to drive it to Auckland tomorrow. I hope it comes back in one piece!!

1 pointYou don't know his situation, he may have had diarrhea, and needed to find the nearest latrine quickly, before getting to site to use standover tactics on his apprentice to reinforce toxic masculinity Jus' sayin

1 pointAt 105kw, you would expect to have at least a 240v basic charger installed to feed it, that would give 7kw/hr minimums. Based on everyday use charging to 80 or 90% from say 10% your realistically only putting 80 kw in at a time, 11 to 12 hrs. I doubt many owners would come back one day and need to do more then another 450ks the next. Oh and cost to charge at 19c kW, even to 100kw (vege maths) $19. Not what I’d call a concern. RUCs are likely to be exempt for a new owner, rightly or wrongly till well past 2024 which is the current exempt period so for most new buyers, they’ll never pay a cent for their 3ton tank. oh and of cause theres a M60 even faster one coming!

1 pointI was thinking it was much less scary viewing on a screen than it would be from underneath a vehicle...

1 pointIt does feel like a race between BMW and Audi to see who can get the largest grill (towing a vehicle behind it) into production. And regarding Bangle who I think everyone just assumed (myself included) was the designer of the E60/E61 series - this story and the accompanying audio interview completely changes that one. https://www.bmwblog.com/2020/09/26/chris-bangle-reveals-the-truth-of-the-e60-5-series-design/ I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but I can't see the exterior of that ever being looked at as a classic by future generations.

1 pointI feel this is the perfect time to temper the road rage with some soothing commentary from Ogmios and his school of zen motoring

1 pointChanged out the Biarritz trans wiring loom over the weekend, in addition to a new genuine filter, gasket, and Penrite ATF FS fluid (LT71141 compatible) Went on a Club run up highway 22 yesterday and can report transmission is happy, as is the rest of the car, and owner

1 pointlots of Brit-based fora are in that space now; it's a reflection of the country. Brexit is the backdrop, they're in turmoil. I dig your car Mr First Timer, it's well-cool. Welcome to Bimmersport!

1 pointHi Edward, Very nice! I bought the sibling to yours in the middle of last year. For reference, the wheels are off the gen 2 Z4M.

1 pointSally and Lincoln from European Car Imports took care of everything. I could have done it myself, but they've brought in 100s of cars, and are handy to have if there are hiccups along the way. It was 8 weeks from order to sitting in my driveway.

1 pointAnother really satisfying milestone here getting the engine bay wiring virtually complete !! Just need to wire the back side of the 'secondary' plug which will have all of the wiring that will head into the cabin.
