Link error. Assume it's this one right? Really enjoyed it! E46 FTW!

^Have you done bearings Tom? At what Kms would you recommend it?
-
See they back on sale - was like going back in time filling up for under a $100! I know E10 makes no power diff in an NA car - but do you guys see any difference if you have boost? I found this - interestingly puts some numbers to the efficiency argument.

That looks real good. Is work on the Jap plate mounts next?

^ try the tennis ball trick. I.e. jam tennis balls under the tray to stop vibration.

^Local reality TV? -
I called them and apparently I can. (Possibly because I paid to upgrade these plates with the old 'premium price' ?) It sounds like essentially they are a personalised plate, just with a random number.
-
Hi, I have a set of non personalised euro plates for sale. To upgrade your plates to legal Europlates is $400. These have been made and have drill holes, but can be remade fresh. My understanding is that to remake them as euro plates is $50 (black or blue NZ). And it is $99 to remake them as slim line plates. Plate is FZJ1[# #] - PM me and I can give you full plate $175 'as is'

You can really see the fear / how on the edge Tiff is, which was cool. I wish he'd drop his TV schtick though, I would rather just see his real buzz.

Trolling is an art. But ITT it's child's play.

^Tennis is also awesome!

I watch it, while the racing can be boring, the pre race politics, hype and speculation is cool. P3 and Q are pretty good most meetings. And there were some exciting races this year I thought.
-
^ yeah but they are pretty sht IMO. Even the low/mid $20s ones I have seen aren't great. You need to be mid/high $20s for a decent one (sticker). I would rather have a higher spec 325i for very low $20s, or less. (Unless you are looking to tune a turbo or something) I don't know a lot about the 5 series, but if you can handle the size, they do look like better value. I think even the e9x is too big personally, so a 5 series is too much for me.

There was one listed last month, sold in days. UK import, grey, around $20k. Looked nice. You'll be waiting forever. As above, go for a 325i or man up and get a turbo.

Edit you are right Glenn - they are belt driven. Just negotiating.... Thanks.
-
Thanks Glenn, still running the numbers, but might take you up on the offer thanks. (I have read conflicting things about cam belt - some people say 2010 S3 is chain driven?)

I'm close to buying an Audi S3. Talk me out of it please? (Or into it.... it seems like a good option). Figuratively, what could go wrong? ~90km 2010 facelift DSG Autosure Warranty
