You need to bring it to one of our coffee meets Jed...
-
OMG LOL FTW. ? ? ? Oh, and please consider posting pics along the way rather than adding them all to the first post, if they're all put there the page ends up taking too many resources to load. Up to you, it's not a rule. Edit: yay, we've got proper emojis now.

It will have a code, even if it's not on the container. Can you establish from the label who made it for BMW?
-
Yes, it both looks and feels better. I can see why Evo top hats are recommended for any E36 suspension setup (castor plates aside). For the sake of ~$300 for all of the ancillary bits it's a very good upgrade and I've not over capitalised. I've now done the entire cooling system and suspension for less than $600 which I'm very happy with. And it's all miles and wear and tear that's not going onto the M3, that's the real purpose.
-
I suspect that's why he needs the paint code...
-
Yep, M3 everything from the hub up + sway bars. Arms and kingpins are still 328. Alignment on Friday so we'll see how close they can get it to -1 degree camber on each side.
-
What M3?
-
Front suspension into the 328 today...
-
Front suspension went in today, no big dramas. Holy crap it feels good! The increased castor really transforms the feel of the car, also the whole car doesn't rock when I get in it! Need an alignment and still need to swap the rear ARB for the M3 one but waiting on bushes for that. No legs... New legs...
-
Built up the M3 front struts for the 328 (thanks @sweetm3 & @gjm) but didn't quite get them into the car (Supercars got in the way). I did get the M3 sway bar in though so that's some progress.
-
Yep, but a lot depends on what you're starting with and want to do. Send me a PM with that info and I'll share what I can.

E30 M3 Benson & Hedges Racing Replica
M3AN replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
What's RHD, or LHD for that matter? The windscreen wipers? There's nothing inside the car or engine bay is there? For $20k? -
Do you know the buyer? Go on, spill the beans.
-
Pulled the front struts out of the 328. Boy the threadlocker on some of those bolts is tuff! Can't move forward now until my spring compressors find their way back to me on Sunday, I need to assemble the M3 stack.
-
Hmm, mine's a Redline Performance alloy radiator but I just checked their site and they're out of stock also. It may pay to give them a call to see when they'll be getting new ones? If you don't care about the all alloy bit then you can get an OEM Behr one from FCP Euro fast and cheap.

Gee, thanks. I'll take your word that the console, handbrake handle and light switch surround is real CF. The problem is it looks like decals from those photos so I'd probably have to get rid of it anyway if the same held true IRL. DTM tips looked the biz 20+ years ago, not so much now. I actually had the option of those when I put the Remus in, glad I went for the alternative. Each to their own I suppose, it certainly sets it apart. Why did you sell it out of interest?

Windscreen replacement leads to damage... What now?
M3AN replied to Cammsport's topic in General Discussion
You shouldn't be doing this yourself. I would have called insurance back immediately after the first job and told them it was unsatisfactory and led to further damage (provide photos). It's their job, they need to make it right. You could also suggest that the dealer was the only place that could make it right (and wouldn't have created the problem in the first place). It cost State about 3 x dealer price to replace a windscreen once for me because they refused me dealer service, the new screen leaked, I had to take it back to the original place, they couldn't fix it and eventually it went to Mitsubishi (it wasn't a BMW of course) who did it properly. -
Holy crap.
-
Removed the front sway bar from the 328 (M3 version going in) and received all the bits for the front end suspension upgrade to M3 spec (lots of bits!).
-
All the bits for the front end suspension arrived today. If you're replacing all the hardware you need a lot of bits! The 328 will love me for it though. Strut tower reinforcements will be going in as well.

Thanks @Eagle, useful info. TBH I find FCP's shipping costs to be entirely reasonable, I can't imagine saving much when buying from them. ECS on the other hand...
-
Thanks. Email notifications are now also working again. Suggestion: if (when) you're going to upgrade the software again give us a weeks notice and keep an eye on this sub forum for the week following.

I always liked this one blasting around the streets of Wellington... not sure it'll work with a blue base though...
-
I have enough e36's already thanks! Oh, and 'Brake Light Circuit Failure' - we've all been there!
