  1. Come on guys, my Aero spoiler is still in the box! You can get a rep for a couple of hundy.
  2. Ha, I was just looking at that again on Monday night, you thinking gloss black? Ouch on the shipping but I suppose they are quite long. Probably keen.
  3. Good community work Chris, thank you. And I agree 100% with the above, that was exactly my purchasing experience. All 10-14 year old cars require about the same investment unless they are unicorns.
  4. And it's a much more practical storage pocket, even without charging, than the BS ashtray!
  5. Interesting, I have two friends with that setup in E36's with certs. But rules change and I don't keep track, one was done 2 years ago, the other about 4. Sorry if I've provided no-longer-accurate advice!
  6. Quality work Matt, I like the direction you're heading. I'm starting to get audio envy even though I'm no audiophile. As a matter of interested, what did you wrap the door handles/puller in and where did you get it from?
  7. You can get away with stock belts and E30 buckles mounted to the tunnel FWIW.
  8. Hope you get it for a good price, be sure to spill the details if you do! ?
  9. Scrub it up and bring it along to one of our casual monthly Auckland meets... https://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/49568-auckland-monthly-coffee-and-cars-meet/ Most first Sundays of the month. ?
  10. Or cruise... jeez, even mine has that! ?
  11. Here's a rare one, Sparkling Graphite and loaded with options... BMWP Pedals Sunroof Rear PDC Active Steering Adaptive Headlights Comfort Access Hi-Fi Stereo ? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2872814155 Shipped with wood trim, has been replaced with Glacier Silver. Are they stock exhaust tips? Maybe a Japanese dealer demo? I've never seen one like that in NZ, $8,300.
  12. Wait for the very last minute and then try and snipe it? I would have thought it was always going to go for more than $1500 so an auto bid at that level seems okay... or am I missing something? Take a battery, a trailer and a punt?
  13. B6? I'm not a big fan of the wheels but they're not offensive, I've seen worse. Up there for a pre-LCI although that exhaust probably sounds great. If I were selling I think I'd probably include a good picture of that!
  14. I somehow got BMW NA to send me one of the DVDs to my NZ address. Unobtanium now.
  15. Welcome Brian, nice to have you on board. Lovely car... I wish my first car purchase was that nice! ?
  16. Nice one Kyu, now for some suitable wheels... how long do you think you'll keep this one for? Another $1 reserve: Manual - not running - https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2872154553 If I were closer to Twizel I'd check it out... even a whole new engine is probably viable if you can pick it up for cheap. @gofaster - keen on a project? Know a good mechanic? Good summer road trip from ChCh. And another 2010 for $8500 (but know we know they're worth closer to $7250). https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2872287050
  17. Nice on Kyu... does it scrub up okay? Looks just fine to me.
  18. Does anyone have a reasonable brake bleeder kit I can use for a weekend? Preferably Auckland, can collect. If I were to get myself a kit, what is the best type?
  19. I have no knowledge of that car or its provenance sorry but for less than 10k it's probably worth a look. I don't think an AA inspection is worth the paper it's provided on, I'm not even sure if they hook it up to a scanner these days. If I couldn't find a trustworthy independent nearby in Onehunga I'd probably consider getting it checked out by Auckland City BMW but I think you're in for $130 IIRC. Somebody else may have a better suggestion though. I can tell you at first glance that the rear wiper either doesn't work, or is about to fail (common problem). I'm not too far away and if the moons aligned could probably eyeball it for you any even plug it in if they let me take it for a proper drive but I certainly don't offer any warranties! A lot would depend on how my schedule played out over the next little while. Maybe if nobody else around here knows the car or has any suggestions send me a PM and we can go from there. No promises.
  20. If you did, I think it's a good "woops" for 7.25! Only a fool would turn down 12k for that.
  21. Final bid $7,250 Reserve met
  22. The Hire by BMW Films, second season was best. Directors: John Frankenheimer, Tony Scott, Neill Blomkamp, Guy Ritchie, Joe Carnaham, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, John Woo, Wong Kar-wai, Ang Lee Actors: Clive Owen, Tomas Milian, Mason Lee, Forest Whitaker, Mickey Rourke, Adriana Lima, Madonna, Stellan Skarsgård, Lois Smith, Maury Chaykin, Kathryn Morris, Don Cheadle, F. Murray Abraham, Clifton Powell, Gary Oldman, James Brown, Danny Trejo, Marilyn Manson, Dakota Fanning, Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga Amongst others. Beat that. Most of them are available on YouTube, if you can't find them let me know, I have them all. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hire
  23. Remove the HID's, clear the errors and see if they come back? Obviously you'll get headlight errors but if fog and indicator lights don't error again you've found the culprit.
  24. Hmm... ? shifter or handbrake boot?
