Yep, same story here, no way I would have paid for mine!

I had an 89 Galant VR-4, the "Evo 0" and it also had a lot of trick kit for the time. Cool car actually.

Very interesting design... and expensive! https://laptorr.com/collections/exhaust-1/products/exhaust-system-e876na?variant=19885991690336

Noted, you have first option if I CBA.

I've never seen the redline in mine. Apparently it's electronically limited to ~250km/h, can not confirm. Promise. ?

The whole point is a generation is being raised that aren't yet adults. They're the ones being f'ed over, they need us to recognise the insidious nature of the social media beast and do something about it. Presuming that large amounts of populations already know what's going on in the background is a little bit naïve. Vast swaths of modern, digital populations have absolutely no idea. Sad but true.

Right, then that's not the one I was thinking of, I was thinking of one of these types: https://arperformance.co.uk/product/coolerworx-short-shifter-pro-bmw-e30-e36-e46-e82-e90-e92-inc-m3/ https://store.vacmotorsports.com/samsonas-vac-universal-short-shifter-p2995.aspx

Interesting, so the old for sale post here claims new rotors at ~65k and it needs another set at ~100k? That's had some serious track use there. And if that shifter that most people don't like is a proper one then it's worth a bucket-load of money, it's not just short it's microswitch short. On the other hand, if it's a fake POS then it needs to go. Regardless, most people won't like using it (let alone looking at it) but you'll recover your costs of reverting to stock by selling it.

I deleted my FB account in ~2009 and have no regrets, only moments of self indulgent pride when I read comments like @lord_jagganathmakes above. Watch this and you'll all cancel your FB accounts (or relinquish the right to complain): The Social Dilemma Why would any person of sound mind (and soul) play their game?

Yep, that's on my radar and the M-lite brakes are apparently the same volume and bias as the BMWP ones.
-
No, most people misguidedly do it because they think it's going to improve their day-to-day braking which it won't. edit: unless their day-to-day is on a track of course! No other changes, this is a combination proven many times over for the E8x in the US and UK which is a large part of the reason I went down this path, I wasn't willing to try an unproven setup.
-
Motorsport ones? I'll take them if @DRM doesn't want them. I've just noticed the part numbers in the original post are for non-motorsport bumpers only, the correct numbers are 51712233361 and 51712233362.
-
I'm going to leave them as is, I quite like the blue. A guy in the UK did his in satin black with Brembo decals and they did look very good but I don't want to faff around.

The very least BMW NZ could have done was fit a Euro plate. That NZ standard plate looks like somebody tried to finish a job and gave up half way through. In fact, BMW should fit Euro plates as standard to every new car they sell, cheaping out, whilst common, is hardly befitting.
-
I hate how BMW put the the LHS decals on upside down... ? They should look "correct" on the calliper, regardless of how it's installed on the vehicle... like every other calliper on Earth. ?
-
Yeah, it seems like a pretty common option on run-of-the-mill cars today. I wonder how many NZ new 1ers came with it as 'standard'?
-
As well as cruise control. I'm sure I'll never use it but it's another option box ticked.
-
Glad I've almost finished working on the M3 so I can move it out of the carport because these arrived this morning... ??

Hang on. 2 x Senna and no pictures?

Fitted up the 40mm cut version today and it's perfect with my swaybar set to the hardest setting. Pic is of car with both front corners at full droop. Ace, thanks again @aja540i. ? Now, to work out how to get these fabricated locally, plate itself is easy, brackets are a different proposition.

Having seen this in person it's a perfect example of 'you can't judge a book by its cover' - it's probably fair to say she's stronger on the inside than out, the current attention is going to the right places.

Oof. https://www.driven.co.nz/used-cars-for-sale/ford/sierra/manawatu--wanganui/palmerston-north/1442310/2222/

Picked up my OE Aero spoiler today from my folks place, they had collected it for me from Continental BMW. It's quite a bit lighter than I expected and can see why it's common for them to come up at the left and right edges, it doesn't sit flush so there's constant tension on the double sided tape when it's installed. I wonder if it can be clamped down in situ and heated up to deform into a more compliant shape? I suspect it will take me a long time to get this painted and installed. But hey, at $150 I couldn't say no.

I took both under trays around to @aja540i place this afternoon to get them cut to measurement with his plasma cutter and the results are fantastic, I couldn't be happier. He made short work of it too. Thanks Andrew, you're a legend! ? I got one cut back by 30mm and the other by 40mm to allow for a few variations in sway bars. I'll hopefully fit the one I want to go with before Bathurst kicks off tomorrow.

That's a poorly written article, for a start her autism has nothing to do with it and shouldn't have been mentioned, if she has a license she's held to the same standard as the rest of us. Now, I don't condone ramming somebody but let's dissect this paragraph… she's in the right hand lane and has inadequate situational awareness, car's don't travel at 800km/h so it didn't appear out of nowhere. her first reaction, in the right hand lane, whilst being tailgated, is to slow down? Talk about inviting aggression. why did she even need to slow down to indicate? She'd just passed another car, slowing down is counterintuitive, if she needs to do that for any reason she should never be in the right hand lane, it's a danger to all those sharing the road with her. The driver of the "massive truck" was/is a tool but her driving did nothing at all to help the situation, only to make it worse. And she also won't have to pay her excess because the cops have already attested that it's not her fault. Shitty situation, very poor article. But still, the other driver is a tool.
