A Mainland car recently squirrelled out of Christchurch. Number plate refers to the new owners age. Nice to see it out and about, will be a cherished car.

Thanks for posting Graham, a walk down memory lane😧

www. kleinanzeigen.de. Offshoot of Ebay germany, a proper a trading platform. Bit like trade me, and local only to Germany. Most posters answer promptly and politely, and speak good english. If not google translate is your friend
-
kleinanzeigen is your friend here. And probably be prepared to wait for a courier service, as De went into lockdown on Christmas eve again. Recall a copy is being manufactured and marketed out of Malaysia. But two piece. Looked quite sharp, cost was effective at around $1K NZ a set. But not the real deal. Reckon on around Euro250 cost for a set of four using DHL Express and real quick. Usually😀

Read my last sentence Blackie less than 5%

Dare to disagree with your opening Driftit , the site is proving to be very special in a difficult niche market. The Americans, Europeans and English enthusiasts from all walks of life love it so ensuring the success it now enjoys. Even a few Kiwis bid on cars there, and I know of several that have crossed the seas and are now in NZ. Even the writer has bid on several Austin Healey's in particular a Lenhan spec bug eye sprite caught my eye. However have yet to put a mark on the scoreboard. One day😉 And your second last sentence is the point we have been trying to make, in perhaps an obscure way, and why BAT will be around for some time. Multiple bidders driving up the price, fantastic for the seller (and the watchers) To sell any car on TradeMe (of the type we are interested in on this forum) it is imperative to have more than one bidder to achieve a worthwhile result. All the forum bashing dialogue and nay saying just kills the car dead in the water.

Probably the best and most widely respected online auction site today is Bring a Trailer (BAT) www.bringatrailer.com. Having been around since 2007, it has evolved into a fast paced benchmark operation, achieving fantastic results for both the happy vendor and even happier seller. The quality and diversity of the vehicles is a joy to view, as are the images and the listing details are replete with the cars information and beyond reproach. Unlike the bottom feeders that troll and comment on our poor relation Trade Me, the comments are for most parts, both articulate, and intelligent Now I am aware that some of the posters on this, our bmw site dislike BAT because of the "over sale" or excessive prices fetched for some of the cars, and we would take the opportunity to point out these are achieved because of the interest in that car, and the sheer quality and presentation of the listing has attracted multiple bidders. In other words the complete package of this particular online auction house has been seen to have produced a successfu result.. Winding up for today we would mention that whilst we detest the mess that is Trade Me in 2020, we have no hesitation in buying cars that we all enjoy through it either as an auction or negotiated purchase. But as a medium to sell motor cars whoa, no thanks😉 As Blackie inferred above, different strokes for different folks.

Interesting looking VW ,not my cup of tea. Launching into a small rant here so please indulge me. What has happened to way we buy cars? Surely if you have interest in such a car, pick up the phone, make contact, inspect, and make an informed decision. The Q & A section on these listings is just turning into a total waste of time for both the seller and the buyer. There are probably statistics that determine the success rate from inquiry and I'd imagine its something less than 5% on this trading site. So like night follows day inevitably the dopes come out of the woodwork doing their best to wind up the seller, and at the end of the listing we have a no sale occurring. I reckon the seller has displayed restraint, accordingly we give applause here, and wish him good luck with the auction. Concluding, in our 18 years trade me membership we have never made an online inquiry on any car, and have bought quite a few, probably fifteen or sixteen. See it, become interested, check it out, negotiate the price, drive it home. Simple. However, as some of have posters have said, this listing is a bit of a giggle. Better than TV😂

Thank Geoff. Don't know of the guy, but will try and get a hold of him.

Looking to buy a set of good set of structurally sound front struts with worn shocks complete so we can strip down and fit KoniSport inserts. Just to expedite things in a quick and simple fashion so the work flow isn't slowed down. Women call it multitasking (and they are good at it) 😁 We call it the KISS principal. In Christchuch, but happy to freight nationwide. The spinoff is there will be a set of used struts available for the next guy who prefers Koni's on his / her E36. PM is good or call / text to 029 777 4006, thanks Bill

And get a new set of tyres for the rear pronto😀

17x9 ET42 Front 17x9.5 ET35 rear. HyperBlack. Choice of either new BMW centre caps, or Apex. I'll put them on the M3 if unable to find a set of staggered, stamped Style 24's. Already running the original D1's in perfect condition..
-
Have a set of Apex ARC8 in 17 inch, hyperblack, bnib, but 5x120. On the doorstep this week. Call me if of any interest, Bill 029 777 4006

BM Parts Ltd 09 376 1250 Auckland 03 365 4872 Christchurch. Or Ray at HellBM the builder of your car may have something. Just a thought🤨

The infamous M3 coupe was sold pre auction to a previous owner. 15% buyers premium on top of hammer price. Good luck with the auction, its a poorly detailed catalogue. The bikes may sell well.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Bandit replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
A perfect scenario here, willing seller, finds willing buyer. Well done both😀 -
Woulda coulda shoulda. No, given our aversion for both Trade Me and facebook, didn't pick up on till after the event. The rear spoiler is exactly what we want too🥵 Snoozed and lost again.
-
Think a car looking like this one, you are buying on condition and presentation. Doubt you could do what the owner had done for 10k. And provenance repowered etc given the age is fast becoming meaningless.
-
As per title. Looking for Brembo 2 piston calipers fronts only to suit F20/F30/i8. Also seeking staggered set Style 24 wheels with the stamped Motorsport BMW on the outer center. All replies answered promptly call or text is good 029 777 4006.

Apologies to gjm, the OP with an innocent question. A bit off piste here with a bit of a rant and my opinion of Trade Me. Mea culpa Graham😵

1986 BMW ALPINA B6 3.5 BiTurbo NZ$185,000
Bandit replied to LemonHunter's topic in TradeMe discussions
Oof .........yes! 😍 -
There is a ton of internet chatter and hyperbole not only about the alleged increase in sale price of E30's but other brands too. On NZ's prime selling site our beloved Trade Me, we note that very few advertised cars move garage at the asking. or close to, or are withdrawn quickly, possibly indicating a sale. Most gamely soldier on with constant price reductions until vanishing, sometimes years after the initial listing. A good example of this is the AW E30 M3 Evo1 gamely listed some two years ago, and at last approaching reality at 85k ish. Very few cars offered for sale in a true auction listing sell, as most vendors are reluctant to set a sensible reserve. And now we see most listings bugged by an endless stream of mindless and idiotic questions from the itinerant armchair critics and keyboard warriors out there, everyone an eggspurt.😬 Most mint cars with excellent provenence move smartly given a willing seller / buyer scenario. There is always a home for a "proper" car with these attributes , and realistic sellers usually achieve sales. There are not enough realists using TM in the way it is designed, as an auction house, surely the only way to determine market value. Concluding, in our considered opinion the little Z3 roadster whilst being a sweet little unit is unlikely to increase in value given time, notwithstanding owning a nice one it could be fun to tootle about in. 😉

Yes. The sheer costs of running a small business in New Zealand. Even before your have opened the door (to your business or vehicle)

Unlikely to have the LSD. Buy on condition, body fit to me is quite important, especially the front and rear panels. Unlikely to rise in value, should be at the bottom of the bell curve and staying there. The M44 is well documented as being an oil dripper if not maintained.
