  1. So a standard dealers approach. But not being a dealer he can avoid any laws that protect the buyer. In some ways worse than any dealer. Usually keep the numbers low enough to avoid pating tax too. Or registers the vehicles under the wife's name.
  2. Made contact. Going to view asap. Has non normal working hours.
  3. States it has a MAPECU. Which is a NZ crowd that does piggyback systems. Very popular with 2jz people in the US. My 535is race car has one. Tuned. So if someone does end up buying this that is not me I can supply a tune that will at least allow it to run okay. I would be looking to restore it a little. Obviously have a ton of parts for it. Rust is my biggest concern. It sat on that Wellington street for a very very long time.

    Quick rant thread.

I hate buying cars in NZ. My attempt today has gone totally ignored. I'm short on time and the guy is not answering any of the means of contact he posted.
  5. Been messaging and phoning since 7am. No response. Been looking for a sister car for my race car for some time. Have actually left notes on this car in Wellington to buy it in the past.

Trying to save yet another windscreen. I love NZs roads. They are top quality.
  7. Every E34 I have driven in NZ has long worn out suspension. Going to sell my E34 525td soon. Great commuter.
  8. Factory pads create a bit of build up. Always comes right with normal driving for me. Otherwise your lower control arms could be done.
  9. Had to go into Carterton New World to have them call the owner of this poor M3 that had all 4 windows down in the pissing rain for 20mins. Lady driver had no doubt held the remote unlock button down as she walked away. What kind of person doesn't look back at their M3 just to admire it...
  10. https://www.carthrottle.com/post/this-mean-e30-bmw-3-series-is-hiding-a-supercharged-1uz-v8/ Similar/same kit. But looks better. Because it's not Orange. As much as I hate to say it. Superior engine. And that's before you supercharge it.
  11. I'm in the Nope crowd. It looks like a race car. But has no cage and just isn't one. Has a $100K price tag. But doesn't have a big HP motor like you would expect. Instead a $1000 M60 (probably with a ton of work... I hope). The seats look like they are from a Ford Falcon with cheap leather covers. The Ebay rear lights... It needs to be a fraction of the price. And saved by someone who turns it into what it isn't. A race car.
  12. Love my luggage straps. And love Advans. But that at that asking price I could have had two of my 130.
  13. What a chonker. I recall a E87 1 series stripped out race car being heavier than my E34 5 series race car at the track. And I think it was for the 2ltr class.
  14. We just kept chasing them until they sorted it out. But that was the old owners. Make sure you check around the top water hose (engine side). Ours had pressure applied which cracked the plastic in turn blowing it off. It's a pretty easy spot to place your hand whilst doing the heater line thingy. Don't lean on it. I defiantly got treated like a 2nd hand 1 series owner. Glad you got a positive experience.
  15. Also been looking for one. Not much on offer when it comes to DCT or Manual that is in the reasonable value zone. Feel the dealer cars are artificially holding the prices high.
  16. Won't this kit just suck in all the engine heat and any fumes present in the engine bay?
  17. Unlikely but he didn't mention.

Yup it's an absolute joke. L4 - Moan about Jacinda L3 - Level Free L2 - Normal L1 - See L2 Even L4 in Masterton was a joke. I was the only one in the office so was driving into work each day. The stupid sh*t I saw. Sadly unless you call these assholes out they won't change their habbits.
  19. I got a message from the seller. It did indeed sell.
  20. Classic cover for the wifes 200sx. I think it is insured for $30K and has a limit of 5000kms per year. Is cheap at around $600 for the year. Heavily modified vehicle.
  21. Yeah it looks like he stuffed up. I search every week for S85's. And have not seen one. I miss this one by 2 hours....
  22. Pretty angry I missed this. I would have paid double.
  23. Less Pakaraka Road without cyclists. What is this wizardry?
  24. I lived there recently. It will cost more. And it is a massive hassle to send things to NZ unless you have an account with a courier service. I just got a replacement coil pack from ECS Tuning in Ohio for free under warranty. Came in 10 working days. And they had to wait for the part to get shipped to them in that time too. Both FCP and ECS are great. Oh man I miss 2 day free shipping from them whilst I was living there.
  25. Oh wow. Had one of these as a paddock car many moons ago. Only lasted about an hour. It was actually pretty mint. Got it for free out of the trade and exchange.
