Can you remember who created it? I can't find it anywhere. And I dug deep.
-
@balancerider yeah same staff who have no interest in second hand BMWs.
-
Oh you could have shopped for a new MG after looking at all the new BMW's. Winger BMW is now Continental Cars. Chinese MG's alongside BMW's. Nice to hear other BMW dealerships are more realistic though.

Should have met up. Could have helped me change all the coolant hoses. 😑

Is it possible to take further leave? Sick leave maybe? The first few weeks of returning to work can be stressful on its own due to how busy most companies can be.

Yeah I would never fly that distance in the US. We had a rule that if the drive was less than 8 hours on a normal weekend we would drive. DC to Detroit takes the same amount of time as Auckland to Wellington. But is 230kms further. And that is on roads that are not that straight and through the Blue ridge mountains.

I miss the highways in the US so much. Smooth. Straight. Quiet. Drove from DC to Austin, TX (25hrs of driving) in my E46 and I only stopped because I got bored at night time. I just drove to Wellington from Masterton and back and I feel beat. See below. Forced to go through small towns x 3 at 50kph Chip seal nearly the entire way which is brutal noisy Followed a truck and a horse float up the Remutaka's at 20-30kph Windy shitty blind corners Single lane the entire way to Wellington means passing is a waste of time The motorway in Wellington has f**king traffic lights in the middle of it. In multiple locations....Utter madness.

I just gather a whole heap of old crap from work to chuck on my ride on. It will now provide live data and map my mow pattern. Using my race cars old 10hz GPS for accurate location. Talk about waste of time. But I bet if I live streamed me mowing the lawn on twitch people would watch.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Driftit replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
FL or PFL. PFL ones are generic and could be picked up cheap a few years back. -
Try Brent @ BMW world. He should have what you need.

3080ti shouldn't be too far away.

Kayne is amazing. Always supported me whilst I was racing in the BMW series. If he is unable build the engine he will point you in the right direction. He has built a number of gearboxes and diffs for me over the years. As for your M30. I would recommend upgraded valve springs and some locking collars. Also convert the oil pump sprocket nut to a bolt. You won't get significant gains from the motor. It is a bit of lazy lump. Most of us go down the turbo route. There is still some good parts available from VAC Motorsports. https://store.vacmotorsports.com/categories.aspx?keyword=m30 However the only reason I have upgraded at all was because I was going down the turbo hole. Otherwise I would not have bothered. I never had any issues at all whilst racing my stock M30 with some headers, an intake and a conversion to MAP with a piggyback MAPECU2. Gearbox syncros were a nightmare though. I inherited some worn syncros when I purchased the car. Kayne can help you here though.

Loved the weather over my Xmas break. It's looking typical for my next stint after New Years too. When summer finally hits in March for a week or so I look forward to getting out and about. I missed the snow. But I didn't want it to snow here ffs.
-
Ah yeah that would have been what the manufacturer guys at my work were talking about.

Do you still own the Swift and the MX5? If so I think I have found a solution for you.

BAT just happens to have a popular portfolio right now. 3-4 years ago it was just another online Auction where you could pick yourself up a cheap project or racecar hence Bring a Trailer. Then the 80's and 90's vehicle boom hit. They had the right stock at the right time. Obviously they have expanded into other categories now. But you only have to look at auctions like that run by Barrett Jackson to realize BAT is just a drop in the water. It just happens to be more visible to the online audience at the moment. Covid will change this in a hurry. I have already seen a bunch of 80's BMW's and 90's heroes go through Barrett. Cars that previously would have been rejected. But demand has changed. And so has the US attitude towards them.

Ooof. Yeah we lost some expensive gear into the harbour the other week. Mostly recovered though. But had taken months to get it out of China in the first place.

I was able to help myself with Mindfulness. At first it sounded like a load of bollocks (was stressed and impatient). But I gave it a chance as nothing else was helping. I was surprised to find It really helped me manage my stress and anxiety. It actually helped me with remembering more detail about my stressful situations too. That helped me with not becoming overwhelmed by thinking too much when I didn't have all the facts and was replacing them with my own theories. My crap sleeping pattern changed when I wasn't stuck thinking about all the what if's that I had no to little control over at 1am in the morning. This might not be the best site. But it does have some info. https://www.mindful.org/meditation/mindfulness-getting-started/

Yeah I like that. Will try and hunt down a factory aero first. But I am waiting for $500 worth of hoses to arrive. So maybe after xmas sometime.

BAT is nothing special. Its just more visible. Kiwis seem to love it because we have nothing like it here. The diversity of vehicles is just normal in the US. The quality goes up and down like any other auction. eBay was once as great. Now it's full of scams. Every other Auction house, especially the physical ones need to follow the detail BAT puts into each vehicle though. Some sites are absolutely useless. E.g. Turner's. BAT has sold some interesting cars for way more than you would fetch outside of their service though. And this gave them an incredible amount of publicity. And that was well deserved.

I still think we can inflate the prices if we all advertise at the same time. Autospot is trying for sure. A bunch of $16-18K 135i's all listed in the mid 20's.

So good news. Only 80% of the sh*t jobs they did last year need repairing this year..... You should see the roads in the Wairarapa already. Only after a few hot weekends many of the roads are just bleeding tar. The logging trucks have absolutely rooted the roads that have had fresh chip dumped on them out toward castle point. I am glad that muppet Twyford is gone. But I bet it is just "Here's the new boss, same as the old boss". https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/433287/motorists-should-expect-delays-travelling-to-holiday-hotspots-this-summer

Exactly. When I was selling my E30 I just replied with please call 021****** Though that was via email as I didn't run an auction. Not one person who emailed me followed up with a phone call. The guy that purchased it called me while I was in the US.

Yeah it's posted in the 130i thread. Silly money.

Also a cluster swap on a Singapore car.. We all know what that means.
