  1. Yeah, maximum image size is 800 x 600 - but I think it gives a different error message than that for size....
  2. Very nice, but USD$15,500 and not met reserve is getting up there.. There are still some good value 325i Sports to be had out of the UK, as there were a lot sold there and they haven't quite taken off in price like the M325i in NZ or the iS in the states (for pretty much the same car). And before anyone says it, they aren't ALL rusted out basket cases
  3. Phone and speak to Ray, I'm sure he will tell you the story behind the car, and what they have done with it at HellBM. I am pretty sure it would all have been done to the best standard, and well looked treated.
  4. Needs photos as per forum rules please.
  5. Very nice car (you see a few on that web-site) but for 150,000 Euro I'd at least want some wheels...
  6. ^^I'm sorry you seem to have entered a forum for proper cars by mistake.. While on the subject of headlights, how f**king hard is it to turn the bloody things on when it's dark?? I have lost count of the number of pillocks that have been driving around after dark without their lights on. Some have been in urban areas where there are streetlights, so they can see where they are going, but it still makes it pretty damn hard to see your black car. Even flashed one muppet when I saw he had no lights on, and he just smiled and waved back - jeesh. Do they not wonder why their dashboard is hard to read...
  7. Personally I would disagree with that statement, having seen what V8 GTR reps have been changing hands for in NZ. Look at the spares list and work out the $$$$s for those as well.It is hard to tell from photos how good a job has been done on cars like these, or any proper replica. But without crawling all over it, this looks to be one of the better ones..
  8. That's not good, where did the parts get stolen from? They are pretty scarce in NZ so if they pop up for sale anywhere I will check with you. I don't have a full engine but I have quite a collection of used parts that I replaced when I re-built my engine (twice) that may come in handy. There is a full motor and box for sale on ebay.co.uk at the moment, and they often pop-up on German ebay or alternatively keep an eye on www.s14.net (mostly US based - but lots more cars there). You can message me a list of what you need and I can tell you what I have...
  9. FWIW... Right car and the licensing system are completely seperate. The information on Rightcar, Fuelsaver and other govt web-sites comes from a database populated by model code, with info provided by the car companies. That is why it can differentiate between an '05 E46 and an '05 E90, engine size, auto or manual etc. The ACC / rego system is set up on a broader level (mainly due to the 1000s of model variants brought in as imports). So the vehicles are classed as, say an '01 3 Series, no problem there. But when there is a changeover, like in '04, both generations get covered the E46 and E90. In this instance any '04 E46 get the benefit of being grouped with the later, safer E90s. So in effect there are some people that are being under-charged rather than over. And let's not forget the whole reason this is happening is ACC have a surplus and are using it to reduce the payments for ALL car owners. Ok, so the system ain't perfect but let's not lose sight of the big picture.
  10. Not stirring, just making the point that you've come in a bit hot there, and this post backs that up.If you want to wage war on the establishment and "stick it to the man" then antsy posts on Bimmersport aren't going to achieve anything. I suggest you back up, see how things work on this forum, and then go again. Oh, and beer and boobies... Mmmm. Wish I was 26 again, or maybe not...
  11. Jamez on here runs the 2K Cup as part of their BBQ Committee, it does seem to be a lot of fun with a group of good guys racing. In terms of the E36, well, if you're happy to run round at the back behind all the Jappas then, yeah, it should be a fun drive.
  12. That's Ok as long as they aren't crashing any of them, they're not making any more of those classics! Product Placement in movies is an industry all to itself now, gone are they days when the film company had to buy cars to use in films! Now the M3 has unique body panels all over it isn't possible to "dress up" a cheaper car to use as a prop. Plus it is cheaper to put a standard car through production than try to build a "special" to save money!
  13. Could be tempted to part with mine for the right price...
  14. I love the way you not only start another thread on this but also ask a question, get an answer from another member (which by the way is actually correct) and then proceed to tell them they are wrong. Why ask if you know the answer??Oh, and welcome to the forum!
  15. Easier (and better) to bump original post back to the top, rather than create a new topic and link to the old one.
  16. The Ferrari boys in town obviously have a set route for their test drive, they come off the motorway at Mt Wellington then back up the on ramp. Quite often see and hear them giving it some beans back onto the motorway.
  17. Any particular models you are after? Race cars, road cars, old cars, new cars?? What scale??
  18. As some will know BMW have teamed up with the Mission Impossible series on the latest movie. From the photos it looks like they had to have a few takes on some of the action scenes... I wonder what will happen to those cars now., off to the recycling centre I think. What a shame, I'm sure I could save most of those. I'll try not to cry when I think of them when watching the film..
  19. E92 Wagon would look pretty weird to start with, never seen a coupe Touring before... Putting my pedantic head to one side, stick them on there and try them, see what they look like. Personally I love the Evo sunflower rims, but not sure they would work on the later wagon.
  20. Step in the right direction, I hope they didn't pay the asking price either...
  21. I would expect a mechanic to road-test a car for any issues before a service, but 39km/h over the limit in town is not on. Watched an apprentice wheel spin my car most of the way from the car park into the service bay once. Cost the Service Manager a free service and two new tyres
  22. The H50 based on the E46 was the 5.0 ltr V8 from the M5, it was the E90 version that had the V10.And this is an E30, so not really the same... Did that guy ever finish the V10 with twin turbos into the E30 M3 that was all over the interwebs a few years back?
