1995 Avus Blue 540iS ~ it's on sale again, FINALLY!

Its only about 4k off that pale blue M5.... so although its nice, its way over priced. -
a few sold recently, only a couple of overpriced ones there at the moment

Just testing the waters as it seems 540IT is going to be impossible to attain, so might as well see if there is anyone with one of these they might look to part with. Im looking for an E36 M3, Prefer Evo but will consider anything. Must be coupe. MUST be mechanically OK, but can be cosmetically average (in need of tidy up OK, but price will reflect condition). Must be road legal, or minimum work for WOF. Up to 12K i can buy straight away, anything more than that and ill be looking at around 3 months (just started new job, holding onto some cash as a safety net during this time) before buying. Im in Wellington, so local is best but transport can be arranged.

Bit sus of that one tbh, an XJR should have a body coloured grill, and XJR embossed on the airbag. ie: this, http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/jaguar/auction-692755953.htm

Hi all, Just putting out some feelers to see whats about. Im looking for an E34 540, preferably a touring but i know they are bloody uncommon so would consider a nice sedan too. The tidier the better, must be legal with no major issues. In Wellington, but can ship or travel for the right car.
-
Andy, just read through your latest updates on the V12 E34..... all i have to say is that i love your car! Really makes me want to buy an E34 touring, but its hard to settle for a boring grey/green one when yours is such a delish colour.
-
mmmm, love me a red E39. So nice seeing something other than silver, green or black.
-
apparently according to the auction its passed cert, but he needs money to pay the cert man...
-
yeah but you can pull a website for almost any fault, on any car if you look hard enough. There are plenty of perfectly working SMG BMWs running around the world, but of course you will never hear them complaining on the internet that its still working OK. If you're buying a E46 with SMG, and you are worried about failure, why not just take out a warranty and just drive the car like its meant to be driven? SMG IMO is NO reason to completely discount a car, unless you specifically want a tractor box to make you feel more manly. The rear subframe issue is a much bigger problem, but even that wouldnt stop me buying an E46 M3, just make sure its thoroughly inspected and reinforced/fixed.

I wish i had more monies saved, would totally rock a "piss yellow" SMG M3.... but from a previous post RE condition, probably not this particular one. On a related note, i have noted that both of these M3s have been on TM for a while now, yet seem to me to be reasonably priced. Maybe the market for M3s is just flat at the moment? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/m3/auction-653051250.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/m3/auction-690591075.htm

Damnit people, why does it ALWAYS degrade down to the same old argument every time an M3 is posted?
-
SMG downshift throttle blip.... *drool*
-
Cop sounds like a real good fella, Clearly you passed the attitude test (Y)
-
But sadly still not legal. Stupid plates monopoly.
-
I like it, and i love the kiwi leather trim too. Would totally roll in the one in the OP, but alas no $$$
-
Honestly, just putting it out there..... but the photos on your listing arent doing it any favours if it is actually tidy. First impressions mean a lot to people that arent local to view.

reasonably priced low mileage US spec M3

I just missed out on buying a rather cheap 500SEC that was in hamilton a few months ago, such a good looking car. That AMG widebody is awesome, and rare. So cool.

I wish we had limits on post count before people could sell stuff. This thread reeks of dodgy. -
Damn good price, last one i saw on there was a Dakar one that was for sale for ages, and over 30k. Estoril is delish.
