I got a Kenwood KDC-700BT for mine, black and you can dial the orange pretty close to your interior orange. Have thought about making my own from an old unit and new unit.

mint! cant wait to see it in the flesh one day. I dont think there is such thing as haters on rotarys these days ? .. that s**t passed in 2002. They getting fairly rare these days that I would say it actually something different.

Shoe! ... definitely the car I would have if I didnt have the e30.

My info came directly from Ross @ BM Workshop. It all depends on the usage, year, manufacture of parts. But as we see mostly Japanese cars here with different fuel grades than say the US then I tend to look at stuff on the internet with a grain of salt these days.

Theyre not all that bad ... that's just a list of the common things to look for and the common serviceable items on the n54 motor. Some of those problems don't escape the n55 either EG high pressure fuel pump is still an issue, after the third OE part manufacture having a go at it. Put it this way, im still considering one when the time is right.

Know how you feel, did that with one of my cars and it got a clown paint job afterwards. Had to bite my tongue at the time and just get over it as much as it hurt at the time. At the end of the day you sell a car and its someone else's to do what they want to it .. even if they're going to drive into rocks or apply questionable taste mods to it straight afterwards.

do several sleeved sections with retaining springs... youll love yourself later when you can pull sections of the exhaust apart. That or flange everything. Also, welcome to the thin wall stainless club ... it just sounds better than everything else

Did you have the ECU flashed so dyno mode is enabled full time ? the DME will be expecting rear and front wheel speed signal from the MK20 or 60 otherwise.

Price sounds about right for a classic, unmolestered, mint,'special' BMW. They wait for the right buyer however.

Front one was double bolted in the tunnel with high tensile bolts and rear is covered... My cert was done 5 years ago and as I understand the rules have changed yet again, ask westy as his is done more recently.
-
You can get a single selector rod with a double end, but the problem is you then need a non welded pin inserted which kind of defeats the purpose and puts instability at he insert pin and relies on a perfect fit for the pin . More movable parts = more places to wear over time.

hybrid replied to dkonsta1's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
Martin, I can code your old TV on the move module if needed. Remind me, will bring to beers and do it. PS bring socket set and screw drivers.
