  1. Would be keen to let all this cool off guys. Its easy to wind people up and keep provoking them. Everyone has made their point on both sides and im sure we can all move on. *locked*
  2. Just make one ... use the m20 one as a template minus the timing notch (which you dont need on the s50) Good chance to lighten it up ... dont go below 6.2kgs for harmonic balance at high RPM reasons, it plays havoc with the bearing caps on these long cranks. Also make sure you have your pressure plat, clutch assembly and flywheel all balanced together. Extract the ring gear from your dual mass and have it cold pressed onto your machined one. Use steel billet or extrude. Heres mine I had made up and the local engineering shop. Been running years with out an issue. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/24294-operation-weapons-grade/page-7#entry315531 but yes, say no to cast @ 7k rpm+
  3. quite interesting the lengths the go to to protect a design
  4. Here is a good friend of my wife and I's one in Wanaka recently.
  5. hybrid

    The bastard child.

Have a read through ... everything is e46 substantial work was done to the chassis to accomodate it. For 5 lug front you have two main options, e30 m3, e36 m3. rear e36ti or m-coupe and I think e28 with some mods (I havent done that one so cant comment )
  6. I quite like the look of the new Haltec systems ... Seems very well put together / supported. One day I might even run the s50 off the new elite.
  7. Hmmm doesnt right to me .. If its functioning correctly you shouldn't hear any hissing. Sounds like you still have a leak somewhere.
  8. My e30/s50 coming from a MKII booster to the pressure rail. You can see the 1 way/filter there.
  9. Filmed in our own backyard. MSport version too
  10. This was what I wrote 4 years ago when taking toms one for a thrash ... And I guess why I roll my eyes at people when CSLs come up for sale and they dont think theyre all that. Wait till you drive one ... Then comment.
  11. A good mate of mine has been learning himself and started with the HP Academy courses. Has since managed to get use of a dyno and been tuning stuff as a hobby and doing it pretty successfully. I think the key here is a really good base understanding of what where how, tag that with some practical examples and a bit of hands on experience and your well on your way to getting into it. People in the industry are unfortunately as a general rule of thumb fairly guarded, and I can understand why when its their livelihoods. Getting in with the right crowd/mentor really helps accelerate things.
  12. Do a new video and give it a little rev to say 2500, also rev and hold ... sounds like the DISA valve rattling .. but hard to tell from that short video ... Could be a bearing of some sort. Here is a video I did ages a go on replacing the DISA in a m54b30 on my old 330.
  13. Around 500-1000ks they settle down.
  14. Its ok ... it kinda went up in value ... provoked by some stuff
  15. Yea, has a box around on warm up and over max value warnings on most. Pressure for over and under. Working on other things with the LEDs too. Which I wont give way too much on just yet.

    p50b32

Are you sure you dont mean the Group-A parts for the s50b30,32. I too havent heard of a p50 version either. Not to say it doesnt exist somewhere in the world in some form. It was at a time when BMW gave up racing in a primary form. The only next Pmotor I know of is the P60. I do have my S50 Group-A parts catalog somewhere.... lets see if I can find it.
  17. actually watch this one (fast forward past lap one as its the same as the previous video)... it has some pretty hardout stuff in lap two and wait till the end on lap three.
  18. Love it! its how I would do it. Black 335i touring
  19. Have been working on the GPS part of it. The lap timer code is proving very difficult to implement because of the real time maths needed. However I now have GPS logging working no problems. In the mean time here is some more work on the different screens I now have running. You can switch up and down the screens via the buttons.
  20. https://youtu.be/GWhSYQuoEBo Nice Racechrono graphics too.
  21. The 1 and 2 series are the obviously the new 3 series. I think market wise the 3 series is now being aimed at the family car as 36/46/90 arent so great in the leg room department. The 5 series the executive car still, 4 series is the dynamic got to have 'yuppy' car, 7 series moves into a higher league (closer to Rolls, Bentley) of more luxury or a car with a driver scenario.
