I was with Swann insurance but went off them after a claims scrap. Broker recommended Star so I've gone with them. They had no issues with the modifications (engine swap, power steering retrofit, adjustable height suspension) and their premiums aren't too bad. Can't speak for their claims process. All agreed value, no valuation required.

Hi all, our E91 is a Jap import and was converted to NZ CIC and maps when we bought it. We were told that outside of the main cities radio reception would suffer. Initially it didn't bother me but now its damn annoying. Has anyone else noticed this? Any fixes/upgrades? I've looked on other forums and all connections are good, no aftermarket angel eyes (apparently that's a thing) and no metallic rear tint. Help! Thanks.

With a bit of RWD manual 90s tax thrown in for good measure. Probably an OK price then in that regard.

I'm real curious as to who's spending this on these cars. Is it young guys ticking it up like what was the norm when I was 18? Or people taking advantage of all this sudden free equity? Or long time lovers of E36s and E30s who are scared they're going to miss out so they're pulling the trigger now?

Still haven't bought tyres yet, so the poor basketweaves are sitting naked in the corner of the garage. But we've got a dyno day coming up so I've borrowed a set of my mates (a fellow hoarder) Rays Gram Lights. They're 15" and don't actually look too bad! I said earlier in this thread that there's no way I'll be retrofitting A/C... I've just bout a complete kit from a SA 325i and lining up what new bits and pieces I need. So I guess that is happening. Also just bought an almost complete, OE cruise control kit. So there's that too. However the most exciting thing recently was the arrival of my sport seats! The vinyl is average and theres a few bits of missing trim here and there but they're NIGHT AND DAY comfort wise to my comfort seats. They fit snug and the lower lumber support is far better. Aesthetically, the car is pretty much where I want it to be. Yea it could do with a paint if I was fussy and ideally the seats would need recovering (will probably buy the kits from LSeats.com)but I'm going to leave those jobs to when I'm an old man with expendable cash I reckon. Also, to change up the wheel situation I thought I'd get round to putting in the Mtech II steering wheel I purchased of the late Jake Hamilton.

Did anyone see what the 24v E30s sold for over the past 6 or so months? I lost track of them. Can anyone recommend a good valuer for insurance purposes? I have no clue as to what mine is worth. TM prices are all over the show and I dunno what's actually selling.

Yip. Surely they'd be good buggers and throw in a set of caps. However i recently bought a set of 15" caps and was told the amount left in stock internationally was very little..

Apparently they can be bought new still from BMW Auckland. $3k and 10 weeks lead time.

We were in a similar position and went with a jap import E91 LCI N52 325i. Had the CIC converted to English (by the dealer), fixed up the usual oil leaks, 18" BBS LMs and fitted a electrically operated westfalia towbar. Has been a good runner ever since, going on 4 years and 40,000kms later. The LCI looks like a totally different car than the pre facelift. Only complaints would be the msport suspension being super crash even without run-flats (no spare tyre) and the cabin seems quite claustrophobic.

Hi all, Unsure of I'm being abit cheeky but I was wondering if someone here had access to the BMW TIS? I just need information on the wiring of my westfalia electric retractable towbar. I did have the schematic on a 3rd party website but looks as though BMW has gone through and demanded they be shut down. The subscription prices are up there for the hobbyist, thought I'd try my luck here.
