Don't mind a bit of Orientblau E46 touring (though yours has a better engine). HAY357 still alive and kicking 8 years after I sold it though
-
Would be cautious about the EGR delete @Herbmiester - You might have a pretty expensive driveway ornament if the govt decide that they want to enforce emissions testing

GFJ249 spotted in Welly today

A rather nice sounding E32 740iL on BBS

Silver E34 535i in Petone this morning

I actually quite like this (in this colour and the purple). Can’t wait til Bridgestone Turanza’s aren’t an OEM tire on a 400hp car though… 😳

You know Jon is good when it’s 250k each way to get the car serviced!

Lime Rock Grey F80 M3 CS outside Moore Wilson's this afternoon 😍

The market will decide but fully agree @Michael. - be lucky to get 100k, won’t be easy / cheap to return to stock and BMW won’t be keen to honour the warranty (given remap) if something goes bang…

The Akrapovic exhaust doesn't bother me but the air suspension and ugly ass wheels can FRO. Also M5's are meant to be driven but hard pass on one treated like that

truly outstanding commitment. i think you must have balls of steel to run an N62 as your 'reliable' engine. -
@simplysimon impressive thread resurrection. If you enter your VIN into RealOEM it should tell you what the gearbox is

manual LHD one would fetch good money in Europe / US one imagines...

@E30 325i Rag-Top please tell me they've given you an iX to use 😂

@adro's E46 in Newtown...looking good!

E28 in Hataitai

Ooooh that's nice. Lachssilber is maybe the best E30 colour and I like how stealthy it is, no flared arches...
-
@Harper this is the definition of OEM+. Seats look great, hard to go past for a weekend car.

Facelift is definitely the way to go (ZF 8 speed vs a 6 speed in the PFL). How short would your round town journeys be? Might start to run into difficulties with never getting up to temp/carbon build up and the economy isn't going to be amazing either. The diesels are nicer to drive due to the torque though. My N57-engined car (same as 40d) takes 13-18km to get to temp (mix of round town and motorway running)

Loading NZ Maps on G20 M340d (UK Import)

What did the dealer quote you out of interest @fred_? Given the online integration of the newer models it could be more cost effective to get the car 'converted' to NZ model then use online map updates -
The above plus you're likely to kill your Xdrive transfer case.

no E63 wagons on TM and usually they're mid 60's for S212 generation. C63 is too small, sounds great though.

I can't help but find this strangely appealing. Rationally it makes very little sense and I should probably hold out for an Alpina touring. I doubt the Mercedes V8 is any more reliable than the N63 in the F10. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/mercedes-benz/e-550/listing/3281819939

it appears the V8's have banded together to kick out the odd one out... lovely looking car, sure it'll sell quick

BMW newbie, looking to buy - Any advice wanted

I wouldn’t rule out based on km but condition rules with cars of this age, 120k hot running way better than 75k round town. I saw that 2011 one, looks quite nice and has a towbar but would want to check it’s running Index 11 coils or there goes your 2k maintenance fund
