  1. Thanks Jon - wondered about combining a thin brush to get them off the radiator and then waterblast out the bottom - even a very thin vacuum extension struggles to get through the gap.
  2. I feel like a 114d badge and a single exhaust would be perfect for that...
  3. Going to keep it as a 'plainclothes' SE version?
  4. That’ll surprise a few people. Might be pretty heavy in the front though?
  5. less likely to need rod bearings or a clutch than the equivalent M5. plus the connoisseur knows it's a better car

    1998 Alpina B3

The crossed out BMW VIN may give you some clues as to what the factory build was, don't know if there's any way of checking the Alpina VIN without emailing them. looking great, have a real soft spot for these...
  7. Light blue E32 7 series coming out of Featherston this morning.
  8. They're the N20 - same engine / state of tune as the F3x 320i and have the ZF 8 speed gearbox too. Nothing amazing but they go ok and have decent economy.
  9. Non-TU N63 = 🤑🤑🤑 (dead turbos, dead AGM batteries, dead cooling system)
  10. Any thoughts for how best to remove stones / leaves / dead bugs from in front of radiator on an F3x m-sport? (Short of removing front bumper) can’t reach in their with the bonnet only.
  11. Yes should be possible to get map and FSC code - sourcing NZ maps for latest BMW operating system may be a bit of a challenge so if you're looking to keep the car for a while, getting BMW to do the initial swap / change the VO should mean you can download them online in future.
  12. ‘We’ve checked it, it’ll be another $350 if you want it changed sir...’
  13. I did get this from Coombes Johnston the other day
  14. Must have sold, was a UK import (carbon black over saddle brown interior with quite a good spec incl adaptive cruise control)
  15. Sorry BMW-speak for facelift (2009-2012) for that generation 3 series
  16. Try to find an LCI E91 320d. N53 in the 325i has multiple expensive failure modes (coils / NOX sensors). There was an f11 530d for not much more money (though 140k km) that would also be good
  17. @E30 325i Rag-Top anyone want to buy a Premium Selection white X2, low km? 😂
  18. Good work - bodywork skills are impressive! I assume this is to fix and sell on given you've still got the E91 325i ?
  19. @KwS Especially BMW's because they're even rarer than the Audi or Mercedes equivalent.
  20. @Gaz had info that BMW had stopped swapping countries for ConnectedDrive subscriptions I believe (though that was a while ago). You could try completing the following form and emailing to BMW NZ (that's what I did for mine a couple of years ago - UK import though). Agree @promo is a great resource for the coding side of things, but not sure if he could help you with this as will require back-end input on BMW servers. change-owner-form.pdf
  21. @E30 325i Rag-Top Oooh I like that a lot in Space Grey but not sure I can deal with tripling (quadrupling?) my fuel and maintenance spend...
  22. A 15 year old E46 in the UK is odds on rusty though. Something's gotta kill it...nothing's cheap in this country.
  23. @Bennyboy Landy's probably handy for recovering broken BMW's
  24. 20 cylinders of (potential) borkage in Napier. No plates on the Silverstone one...
