  1. What particular welds were they questioning / needing changes made to?
  2. BMWs transition of low end models becoming Japanese eco boxes is getting more and more refined by the Germans. Soon they will come with hello kitty accessories!
  3. Sacrificed?? You mean chosen for special blessings!
  4. Awesome James. The fun way of doing an M3 The electrical side of it is the most fun too!
  5. I'd request some engine oil to do a test with at least, I think any high revving M car should have the oil checked for wear metal counts if you want to avoid surprises :p
  6. Very nice! I really consider bearing service part of long term maintenance on these M cars, like doing a clutch. Not an often thing but required eventually!
  7. At least take one for a test drive. I found the ride to be too crunchy and the interior a bit low rent in quality. Better off with a 3 series convertible.
  8. With that kind of lack of knowledge, it makes me wonder if they know how to put on and balance tyres correctly!
  9. I hope that was a Christmas present to yourself!!
  10. According to my list, only one of 5 registered 2001-2002 M coupes in NZ.
  11. All I want to know is, where can I get that shirt...

    M TOY M3

I quite like both wheels sets. I just wonder what the E92 rims would look like with the CSL colour. Hmmm
  13. These had bearing issues, since when??

    M TOY M3

I don't think there's an E46 M3 in town that has so much owner devoted attention :p
  15. Would be good to see the older cars do a 25% overlap like the new cars need to pass. Of course that crash type is the most likely in the real world, ie on the open road. Most cars do when the whole front is making an even impact, best case scenario, but totally unrealistic in most crashes.
  16. I quite like his videos. That M5 seems a bit riced up though, roof thing, black bits, crappy exhaust heat wrap... I don't think they suit white either, makes them seem like a cheaper car than they are.
  17. If your idea of a BMW is a 116i and x1 you should also consider a Toyota Corolla and Rav4, they will do the same thing but be much more reliable over the years.
  18. Not many cars to choose from so getting one in decent condition would be the key over mileage Registered NZ cars totals 51 1999 - 15 2000 - 10 2001 - 12 2002 - 9 2003 - 5
  19. I heard there is good potential if you run an S65 in one too. Economical on the highway and has good resale value.
  20. But you have the skills to save it. Space, time and desire is probably another matter haha
  21. Original E87 is quite a nice handsome little car, basically a 3 series hatch back. Bit cheaper with the interior materials as its a entry type BMW but very nice to drive if you get a smooth 6 cylinder model. I wouldn't bother with the 4 cylinders as you may as well get a Corrolla, Mazda 3 etc if fuel economy is high on the list. The sixes aren't that uneconomical anyway, just depends how you drive.
