I wouldn't say I'm taking it seriously, It just seems weird to me you hate a car model so much you have to spend $1000 on a vanity plate to show your disdain for such, and had to spend money to do so. Another plate I saw was 'F VTEC' on a E30 BMW - to me it's bizarre some person needs to have a plate showing their disapproval of a particular valve system.
-
Shall be interesting to see how you get on compared to the project I'm doing. Always cool to see how others put things together. In hind sight I would have used an Commodore engine over the 1UZ 4.0 I put into my old E36 coupe, was too much effort for a arguably low power output.

Wow, that would be scary! Hard to believe were all just soft bags of ATF.
-
Thats true, its not like the car is probably any worse if you pulled the parts off and compared such with a micrometer. It's just more of the morals of it. Eg I would only buy a new bed, not a second hand one. Haha

JB4 tune means it's been thrashed, the owner didn't do a mod like that do nana it around. These are pretty common so you could likely find a completely stock one, I'd find that if I was in the market for such. The first rego shows a odometer decrease too, 10,046 down to 4,299km, suspect yes, but It might be as simple as the kms being entered wrong, instead of 1,046km some wof plonker wrote 10,046...

Whoa fancy! What does the driver seat weigh?
-
Haha yeah need to be manual and immaculate at that price.

Wont be any v8 conversions of these eco boxes. (Eg E87) FWD = truly useless!
-
I count 51 actually, there was a 2.8 and 4.4 standard models pretending to be M5s in the list.

25, M Coupes (hardtop) 1998 - 2 1999 - 12 2000 -7 2001 - 3 2002 - 1

Looks like 53 E39 M5s road registered as of Sep 2018. 1998 - 0 1999 - 16 2000 - 11 2001 - 12 2002 - 9 2003 - 5

^ Ditto Data like this is jolly exciting. I'm seeing how many E39 M5s are still registered. I managed to find there are 559 Soarers 1991-2000, only 7 of them are my rare hydraulic active suspension model!

Older interesting car any day please. That hyundia is like a kind of nice washing machine appliance.
-
Wow!! What a great find, going nuts finding out how many Soarers are in NZ now :p
-
Well they did make me and 20 people redundant before Xmas 2015, hardly a way to have your employees endorse such a product. New owner has the company now however, so I highly recommend them! (Or factory BMW parts)
-
Jesus. I love how you get clowns that modify an E87 like this.. then guys like Ray that put S65s in theirs. The juxtaposition couldn't be clearer! I guess it's one factor of the car world that always keeps me amused.
-
I think it's one of those "it's for sale darling" adverts. ..and nice pics so the owner can get jollies seeing it online from time to time.
-
So this is one of those geared turbine engines like on a helicopter??
-
Im confused. So second hand car parts like engine computers worth 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 etc will all be taxed 15% on import now? How the hell do they expect to police that, they'd have weeks of backlogged packages trying to get things through if held at customs depos Besides the letter customs sends to take your money (usually takes 7 days) is a complete joke, should be done within minutes or hours via email or text message if they want to be in the game of '21st century marketplace' practices.
-
Yeah that's some low fairly production numbers for a company as big as BMW.
-
Yeah but S62 noises are wayyyyyyy better than any N54 thing, Plus there's more to life than dyno figures. Ive driven various 135i, 335i manuals, DCT and autos, somewhat modified examples and I find them exceptionally boring cars, sound wise particularly, there's no sense of occasion, an NA M3 is slower but a lot more fun and the noises stir the soul. I guess that is why you have an E46 M3 and not an N54/N55 car? So good on you ! :p
-
Whoa I like it!
-
I emailed them and as long as the car is rarer, and not commonly seen on a daily commute they would allow it. They welcome my 1991 Soarer for instance. But a 328i is not really the sort of car you want to see there, too common, verses an M3 or something of interest. There were too many generic 2012 golf GTIs turning up and other such new common cars so that's why they decided to put the brakes on a bit.

Just notice the plate, FU 911... terribly childish. Call me a bore but those kind of 'RIP EVO' attack plates are just the worst of car culture.
