  1. That car with a S62 would be great. Doing one of these anytime soon Ray?
  2. I agree with EVERYTHING he said about the E38 It's always been one of those iconic benchmark cars. Once again I'm thinking of buying a cheap 728i to tidy up and cruise around in for more daily activities, perfect for putting Soarer parts in that big boot!
  3. BC Golds, Fenix radiator... clearly it's a cheap build, you get what you pay for I suppose.
  4. Yeah haha, it's relative for what they go for though. Could prob find one cheaper if you did some hard searching. Not a bad way to go for 320hp / 490nm though.
  5. Cheap and reliable https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/toyota/engines/listing-1765549723.htm?rsqid=d62960dddff94242812629546d9040c9
  6. That's a pretty good buy. These things have been mistreated for too long, hardly ever see a good one
  7. I think it's one of the worst 80s-90s BMWs made. This particularly example seems very tacky. Are they even worth that kind of coin overseas?
  8. These things are worth about a dollar.
  9. Yikes that's pretty bad for a late model car to catch on fire under the hood. You'd expect this from a 1970 British Leyland heap!
  10. Interior of the IS-F is rather on par with the earlier C63 models, just low rent sub 3 series cars in many ways, saved by cool engines. Big step down from an E39 interior I think you just need an E39 M5.
  11. Sounds like a fun oportunity to upgrade. E39 540is are lovely cars, but showing their age. I'd suggest a Lexus IS-F, quite nice styling, a bit too much for some maybe, but at least they don't have the hideous styling cues like most of the new Lexus models have. 5L V8 is a master piece, sounds and goes so well, reminds me of the S62 V8 actually. 8 speed direct shift automatic is very nice, sporty and fast when you wish and relaxing at other times, I've heard some people say they 'shift slow' but that's just typical wank from those that demand F1 levels of performance in everything. A manual gearbox would be better but such is rare now. Handling is very nice, constantly firm suspension but it's good enough in standard spec. I'd recommend test driving one if you're open to Japanese cars like that, finding a good example is always the key, they are getting old enough for some to have been stupidly modified or neglected.
  12. I could 5 E46 M3s on Trade Me? That's not many haha.
  13. Ill have to make sure I turn up at the meet this time!
  14. I'm surprised they don't have a metal retractable top for the price point.
  15. Awesome, I really like these. I was looking at one the other day, the rear is quite fun in it's design, different and unlike anything else on the road in the big sedan range. What spec is the 5L V8? "Just" the NA one with 380hp?
  16. Hmmm just needs a S65 with those 4 exhaust pipes

Awesome little cars. My brother and I are going to buy one of these as the base for a little tarmac hill climb car. Should be a hoot.
  18. So I noticed!! I live around the corner and Michael's ave (Ironically) is one of my test drive routes I regularly go around.
  19. The one in your display picture looks better I reckon.
  20. Haha given the way it's treated, I really doubt it.
