    M TOY M3

Ended up being a stupid design when using the factory seats but was ok for a bit. Once I removed it, was really noticeable just how much softer the rear felt.
  2. I quite like these, aged quite well Good value motoring these days.

So many fun goodies. Cage will be like my old E36, I had a similar cage in that for a time, but removed it as it proved to be annoying as it didn't work so well with the seats. Was just a 4pt type in the rear, really stiffened it up at the back, but made the front feel softer, I would have made it 6 point extending forward to the driver and passenger footwells, that way its stronger again, but not over done with overhead parts making head injury a risk.
  4. Yeah has to be a big truck crash. Yikes.
  5. Throwing them at Nissan Leaf drivers is pretty fun!
  6. Yeah those blacked out fake looking BMW ones, no blue or correctly coloured M badge. My heart aches
  7. Yeah ^ I've always understood engines with race style clearances and construction take their toll on sacrificial parts like the main bearings.
  8. Ray might be able to do a good deal on a S65 swap
  9. ^ James knows his stuff when it comes to such. Other issues you will have are smaller diffs and rear axles, bearings etc. So you'd need those from a bigger 6 cylinder car. Front and rear brake upgrades too, depending on engineers cert requirements. Basically need an entire written off 330i to have all the right parts and wiring to swap over, becomes a pretty big job rather than just a simple engine swap. For the effort required you'd be better off getting a 335i turbo engine and go down that path, wouldn't cost much more but both would require the same effort
  10. Looks great with the BMW BBS wheels in the first picture. E32s are a nice car, much like an E34. Classic BMW motoring.

    M TOY M3

Agreed. I don't know why I didn't like them at first, but they look 10/10 after seeing it in person.
  12. Too busy on such a long weekend really. I used to drive out that way, but needed to do it early in the morning otherwise theres just too many 60km/h drivers around.
  13. Can you charge as you drive with a trailer generator attached??
  14. I actually heard a 750i go up a road last night, had some mods, probably rear mufflers yanked off. Actually sounded pretty cool
  15. Nice looking E38 7er! Was that engine all polished?
  16. Never met but I'm sure we will in some BMW related capacity! Will you still tinker around with BMW projects at your home?
  17. I think a facelift E91 touring 330 or 335i would be the way to go, pre facelifts are pretty Japanesey looking. E61s are fine, but seem like such a massive car. Ideal maybe if you do lots of city to city driving, but less so around town, the 3 series would be better suit to that.

    E46 318ci

Well then it sounds to me like you need to just enjoy the 318ci for what it is and save up for the higher powered models. A path of progression I suppose

    E46 318ci

Sounds like an ideal candidate for a 3UZ swap and M3 diff, then you're away laughing with reliability and performance to match. Those that know me here is what Id do If you're after HP you bought the wrong car, a 325i is the min spec for a 'sporty' model, preferably you would want a 328i or 330i, even those could do with a supercharger to get moving at a more exciting pace. Don't forget an E46 M3 is 330hp or so, and many people find them 'slow' so do things to get more out of them oddly enough, the 330is have around 240hp which is reasonable but still a decent gap from that of it's M3 big brother. For the cost and complexity of the supercharger on the notoriously unreliable 318i engine you're better to sell the car and get one of the nicer 6 cylinder variations, a manual would make it more desirable and reliable too.
  20. A70 stainless bolts from Mitre10 will be just finneee Joke, I'd use 10.9 or 12.9
  21. If you only have 10-15k, better off to do a few mods an make a nice, reliable ~223rwkw car, that's 300rwhp, heaps for a daily driving road car. Enough to be faster than just about every original M car. What more do you need? Higher levels than this are just ways to show off to your mates with dyno sheets and decrease reliability.
