There are Dayton speaker based kits as well for e46. Similar priced and similar performance. Agree on battery size and probably not the best place to compromise on capacity ( use AGM from 7 series myself) Some will go as far as putting on race batteries for daily drivers and wonder why they end up with electrical gremlins. -
DZUS fasteners could be an option , these sit flat. Have them on my removable mini front.

Just pointing out that on plenty of E46 M3 the valve clearances often check out fine and as a result don't need shimming. Might be the reason for the comments above. Mine was last checked at 100,000 km and required no adjustment. It's yet to be touched. Soundling like they suggested CSL / Mini Cooper Battery size which is popular in the USA for reducing weight -
Taylor is well known in Motorsport as being one of the top engine builders in NZ. Not the same scale as a csl engine, but did the line bored and assembled the long block on my a series turbo. Superb job done by them.

Check out Malpassi and "fuel King" regulator bands . More $100-$150 ish than 300. Well made and OEM on some older cars.

Ron always has good points and does offer a tidy solution I didn't pass on some learnings I'd pick with running 45s dual 45s the key here hence something like a po4070. 45mm like to be filled fast at low pressure. Get minor or spikey fluctuations once full and the Webber float sticks and the fuel gets dumped via the primaries. Sometimes hitting the 45 float area with a rubber hammer will restore the fuel shut off to the bowl or jumping back on the gas and off. neither is that practical when racing. Not something to find out at the end of a long straight wondering why the power hasn't backed off. If going for an intank carb fuel pump do the research on flow rate and psi and if the car has a similar power output to your engine, also check if that vehicle has an external regulator to control pressure to determine . Thought about running a fuel cell with bottom outlets ?

I'd be inclined to do a carter which is well proven in Webber comp car circles (no need for fuel pressure reg) I sold mine , but did have one for a 45 set up on my mini. Mod your in tank fuel pump in a similar manner to this. https://youtu.be/8-Q4nDf_Bn4

If using the ACS type 1 16x8 et35s the rear guards need rolling. Had this on my old 325i e36 with 225/55/16s. Filled the arch nicely

Stacker Pi update So working through the solution I needed a way to power a hub only when the Raspberry Pi is running to avoid battery drain. The hub means I can add high current USB devices without over loading the Pi. The hub is triggered from a logic relay ( the pibus designer suggested this) The relay gets its trigger power via the GPIo stack on the Pi The relay has one side connected to the cars 12 volt and the other side connected to a 12v to 5v 3amp power supply. The will be enough to provide full power to each of the useb hub ports. Stacker chassis with cut down pc disc drive bay and plastic standoffs for Pi and USB hub Modifying USB hub, added dc power and USB connection directly onto board Mounting hub in stacker Blue ray player , sata cable extension for USB adaptor Sata to USB board holes lined up with usb hub holes nicely

Doesn't use a clutch pedal but gearbox has a clutch. Gear change is either activated via user input via gear lever or paddles. Alternatively the gearbox computer can shift gear. Designed as a manual with the option of auto clutch control. An auto has a torque converter in my view.

Allan Tthink there is a compatibility with Java If you running the latest version of IE or Edge add the site to run in compatibility mode as well. I do have a copy of wds somewhere if you want to install it on your pc

Being smg good chance the 2nd gear syncro's will be fine and won't need a new transmission as a result. 2005 has all the revisions and may have some of the csl parts depending on build date. price seems about right.

Sounding like the alarm is in valet mode. Some of the manual sequencing may only put the alarm in this mode. My advice would be to get the two button 433 MHz alpine remote and code dip switch. Double door locking requires the remote to pluse the central locking. Needs the same on the unlock .

You car still purchase the remotes. Early ones 90s have dip switch settings . Find the alarm module , open and match the remote to the dip switches in the alarm module. I think jay car have some comparable remotes as do key replacement stores. These alarms can have multiplie disable circuits. Otherwise you'll need to reverse engineer the alarm loom and added relays

Btw that 4.8 x5 e70 is the lowest price is seen on sub 60,000 kms Closest 4.8 was an NZ new at $38k s few months back. Cheapest sd was around $40k with 75000 kms. I'm still looking for one but can't pull the trigger until one of the mk1 minis is gone ( wife's rules) ? -
