SPOTTED! The official thread

E46 M3 on the bridge…

OK, so not spotted in person, but was doing some google street view research for an upcoming trip to SF, and spotted this gem on it’s way onto the Golden Gate Bridge

'Spotted' doesn't seem quite right. If I'd not seen it, I shouldn't be driving.

A 2024 750E Xdrive PHEV 4WD.

It's HUGE!

I bet it has a whole heap of Toyota Aqua's in orbit around it! 🤣

A large cloud of smoke.

With a 2006 320i inside it.

I feel like these are slowly dying out and 116's-120i's are taken their place, fortunately they dont appear to be smokers.

I wonder if they smoke because everyone I see on the motorway is being driven by an ape thrashing the sh*t out of it, weaving in and out of traffic?

BMTHUG's old e28 535i parked outside Waiuku College this morning. Sorry, no pic. Unmistakable with those rims and I'm fairly certain it still doesn't have the front bumper on. I regret not grabbing that when the previous owner put it up for a quick sale.

Lots of high-end cars here in Vancouver, but it's the older ones that grab my attention...

Nice E28 at Mitre 10, forget how small they are compared to modern 5 series barges.

From the era when VW were briefly not sensible (the bork potential I’m sure is heroic). A car for @Kees maybe?

same KW as a 335d but 750 NM of torque

Absolutely! It is on my list - V10 TDI specifically. Still have my manual W8 and love it dearly.

I should do a little fleet update at some point.... things have got a little out of control if I'm honest 🤣

how the hell did that escape dieselgate?!  bloomin' barmy idea, imagine one of the Toerags that was produced with that power plant?  it'd be a barrel of laughs - at least until some poor sod had to throw spanners at it.

PS:  I've a mate hanging on to his W8 Avant for grim death - loves the thing!  I can understand it.

... there was also a V12 Tdi Toe-rag produced around that time - 1000Nm supposedly.
I do recall one for sale in NZ a while back.
