Allanw 1071 Report post Posted May 11, 2012 Fitted a new oil filter housing gasket and water pump, discovered I should have probably got belt tensioners - didn't know it had idlers etc on . They don't seem too poked though. Changed coolant. Cleaned the alternator ducting - was FULL of leaves! About 3 cup fulls!
huff3r 347 Report post Posted May 12, 2012 Spent all morning underneath it replacing power steering pump (one rounded bolt had me stuck for a while!), and fixing some rust. Now to get some ATF and test the new pump. Hopefully no leaks!!

Andre3000 55 Report post Posted May 14, 2012 Replaced the clutch pedal bush with turners delrin bushings, the clutch feels smooth with minimal sideways movement now. If you have a manual e36 i recomend this mod, only cost $30nzd incl shipping. Also used the samco e36 intake boot to delete the asc in my mates e36 328. The results were promising with freeer revving and faster throttle response. Although it still has jap cats so there will be alot more room to breathe once removed. jeffbebe 1559 Report post Posted May 20, 2012 Dropped in on Brent HARTGE535i yesterday and raided the 540i he's picked up. Fitted replacement centre engine closing panel and cabin filter air channel, fixed coolant leak. Also removed all the door trim mouldings, filled the recess where the chrome strip is with plastic putty and sprayed with Plasti Dip as recommended by e34play. They look good. Will post some pics soon. Kicking back now and trying to work out where I can come up with some $$$s to get the TV unit and amp from Brent's 540 to replace my old school tape deck and tuner in my 528i.
