So little update for amusement its been dyno'd and front cleaned up, made 487hp on 11.8 psi on 95 pump, stock motor done 287,000km never had the head off. Only mods are the DTM cams and my own intake manifold and exhaust headers, runs A048 for every day rubber which it sort of needs since it makes 1396 ft/lb at the wheels so pulls average i guess. Sits at just under 1400kg's now after fitting fibre glass front yet to do the back, made own billet quick shifter seems to do the job etc. New motor on the stand yet to so in with all the go fast bits in it ill then lean on it harder sadly will need to tub the rear for wider rubber to make use of anymore power ( kills the rears now on semi's in 4th, private road for the PC sensitive ) Box is still a 260G got a bunch of 6 speeds lined up for change of motor, not a rainy day car !

You walk up to a guy at a classic car market who doesn’t have a clue what sort of a rusted out BMW he’s selling in banana boxes. It’s 1989. The Berlin Wall is still standing, but doesn't look as strong as it once did, so you make the purchase in hope of a brighter future. Obviously. You might be crazy, but Helmut Schlosser is crazier. Not only did he buy a six-cylinder BMW without having all the pieces (or a manual) in those boxes, but he also kept going after realizing the scale of the job, which took the better part of the next decade. But it is a 303, the very first BMW with the kidney grill. It’s the kind of thing that drives normally sane men mad. 1,700 hours and a trip to Switzerland later, he finally turned the key and pushed the starter button.

Hello guys! I'm thinking of selling my beloved E34 540i. Details below, ask if you would like more information. NZ New 190kms Grey leather Electric front seats, memory driver Motorsport bumpers ACS 17" wheels ACS exhaust ACS spoiler M5 mirrors Alpine headunit Full service history Great car, I've owned it coming up two years with many road trips to the Coromandel, Taupo and Hawkes Bay. Boot can fit 3 bags of golf clubs and still overtake with ease when the car is loaded up. Towed our small tin boat with it a couple times too. Performed amazingly. I've recently replaced the drag link, sway bar links and tie rods in the front to fix the infamous 80kph shimmy. Also had her serviced at Jerry Clayton. I am the 5th private owner, previous guy had it for 11 years. Finding it difficult to price so open to offers and discussion but roughly looking for around $7500ono. 021 811 423.

Yes. Because your average kiwi will think its just another BMW. Because, well, it will just be another BMW! Im so lost that there are actually new BMW's that I didn't know existed. I spotted a 435i 4-door the other day, I didn't even know they made a 4-door version of a two door version of a four door! So many models. But. I did spot a nice new X5 yesterday. Now that was an impressive looking car. Self park, as in a car that "valets" it self would be handy. I was reading that Mercedes already have self driving cars but they are not allowed to release them yet. Would be handy in morning traffic. Think of all the Facebooking/work you could get done on the way to work.

Actually... it was available on the VW Touran in 2006, for the 2007 model year - so VW had it close to 10 years ago... but you sat in the car to do it. I think sitting in the car is better, because you don't have to stand in the rain watching your new 7 fail to park itself, because one parking sensor is faulty. again

I think I see why it has such low mileage ......... I wouldn't want to be seen in it !!

I do have a thread, dynoed it last year and been doing hill climbs and sprints all last year, no head gasket problems. Engine is currently removed to make way for an m62 though.

Clever filming. Showing the car without actually showing the car.

Funny. I was thinking that. What you want, is all that to be controlled via an app on your smart phone, who wants to carry around a big key? Also. My $20,000 Clio daily driver has a large touch screen nav and entertainment system powered by LG that is fantastic, much better than I-Drive on cars costing 10x that. About time they ditched this I-Drive sh*t and go full touch screen, we all use touch screen, it is mainstream. I-Drive is possibly the second dumbest thing BMW have done after SMG... I love how they take years to phase out their mistakes, bangle, smg.. now lets kill I-Drive please. Keen to see is this new 7 brings anything truly innovative to the segment, seems they are always way off compared to the S Class in innovation. Self park is nothing new either, Audi have been doing it for new 10 years in concept, its only lawyers that are holding it back, hell, Audi will have self driving cars available to the public in under 5 years. Cmon BMW. #hater.

Definitely look like it. I'm sure that home is the 'II Viaggio' on the Shotover won best home over 300sq meters last year.

I saw it was about US 500 somewhere which is a bit ridiculous for a one time job. A group buy would be good but prefer more buyers to lower the cost. I was thinking a group buy for the walnut blaster would be awesome. ECS sells one for about US 1k. Love your build too Suresh. Its a beast! Congrats dude

nissan p11 primera wagon. find the one with the good SR20 engine and id look for a manual one if not auto not cvt. but in saying that we got the cvt one and its still alright. lol no hondas hahahaha nothing wrong with a honda mate they are bulletproof. otherwise the obvious choice is a toyota corolla.

When the car is too big for the garage, and the fat driver can't get out of the car when it's parked. I kid you not, this has happened and people have asked to "return" their new car once they have realised that they can't actually park it in their garage...

I'm kinda jealous about how many oil changes you get to do. So satisfying.

"No Hondas"? What are you, 12? Get a corolla then.

Why is it that people make sending a message a mission. With the private messages why is it necessary to show all previous messages. I haven't got a bloody clue where to put new text. It used to be simple where you typed into a text box and pushed send. Now someone has made it difficult. I don't want to see all the previous messages in one bloody screen. I talk to heaps of people on Gmail, xtra etc who say the same thing. I and they can't find previous emails, things disappear etc. Keep it simple and if you are going to make an "IMPROVEMENT" make sure it improves things and doesn't turn it into a bloody mess. Rant over and out.
