3 points...4 stroke line trimmer, best thing ever! Pi$$es all over any other line trimmer ive owned, more powerful, easier to start, quieter, no smoke, and added bonus, it sounds like a tiny motorbike! (A good one, not a p.o.s. harley) Highly recommended.

1 point2006 NZ New 130i Motorsport, 6 speed manual, 19" AC Schnitzer Type IV. Looks pretty good for 150k on the clock And a crazy large dog showing off his flying skills.

1 pointEasy... 2 of them. Picked up this tidy NZ-New 99' M5 today. Done 148,000kms. Ex Owner had it for 9 years with an extensive service history.

1 pointiinteresting history on car jam too, either its an import recorded incorrectly, or it really did sit on a yard in NZ here for some 5 years before being registered personally dont like the colour matched bumper bits that are usually chrome, but im sure that appeals to others!

1 pointlol, the goal is to have the most heavily optioned 740i in NZ. Suspension upgrades and paint are in the list too including installing 750il disks and calipers because in the distant future I see one of these. Almost forgot the 6 speed manual conversion too.

1 pointNot as bad as I expected QUBE, it rides nicer than my WRX with 205/50/16s Still no luxury sedan, but its not annoyingly harsh. KwS - Neither really, 19's are probably too big as well. At least they are easy to clean! I saw the price of a new set of them on ebay though, somebody paid a lot of money for them.....

1 pointProbably the perfect E38 For spec IMHO yip no doubt needs some love but could be a great buy, Dave another to add to the collection LOL
-
1 pointGot to the bottom of the leaking washer fluid, seems the aftermarket mud flaps from PO was using the tank as a great place to screw into, hence hole, lol Easy fix anyway, had a clean up while in there Buffed the windows up as well, got rid of most of the water marks which is nice Will bring it up for the next meet in October.

1 pointI'm always amazed the improvements which can be made by a good cleaning and polish. I hope that the kebab stick was at least from a reputable aftermarket manufacturer if not OEM BMW.
-
1 pointLove the E38s interior its one of the best. Not fussy and over detailed like the interiors today.
-
1 pointLeather every time for me, last for ever (relatively) can be repaired, cleans up nice Love the look and the feel. Only downside is hot sunny summer days parked in sun wearing shorts hahaha

1 pointVery cool, pimp interior. Im guessing a 740i would have been $140k new? And someone fixes it with a kebab skewer
-
1 pointOh, thats nice. I'd say ya being greedy but I cant really talk..lol Wouldn't mind an S62 for my 740i..

1 pointLooks like a good score! If this was a few months earlier I could have almost convinced the missus that this is a better buy for her than a Mazda 3. Congrats and welcome back mate

1 pointTime for a thread close, the owner has obviously done their homework and is happy with his purchase as a result. Start a project thread if you're keen to show and track the progress of change.

1 pointBeen a while since updates ... Decided to do a bit of IAT testing with my spare airbox (and gives me a chance to clean the one in the car properly with it out of the car!!! - given the spare airbox came off a racecar, everything IAT related was already done (blocking of original placement and new pick up) all I had to do was make up a connector line so it'll be plug and play. I wanted to see if the IAT relocation actually made sense in this car so I ran some data logging on it. Also removed the intake flap motor at the same time of course from the DME so it is error code free. Given what I have seen with this modification it definitely makes sense to relocate the IAT!!! Next up, exposed ITBs ... just need to look into the vacuum side to make sure it'll run correctly.

1 pointRecents: Z3 Rack swap, New tie rods, boots. M3 Offset Lollipop CAB's and new Control arms. Front end is ALOT tighter now and handles awesome. Steering is very responsive. Still on the hunt for a rear end to re-bush at some stage... One day. Here's a few extra shots from a couple months back with Andy's Vert. I really need to get my rear bumper resprayed too...ffs.
