4 pointsI once said never, I guess never say never?? When you don't get invited for test drives, just buy one LOL. What can you do when the wife says "yep this one" His and hers : )
-
3 pointsStill going well. I reckon I saved way more than what the app says but its becoming irrelevant. I used to check back on the app a lot but now not so much. Still crave a ciggy now and then but always tell myself no. Becoming easier and easier to deal with so far!

3 pointsI got all excited after reading the title, thought a 410hp 330i would be quite something to behold. Read through the thread, noticed the numberplate and realised I'm merely an idiot instead. Nice looking car though, what differences are there between the CS and a normal M-sport? (Needs a third pedal )

3 pointsWelcome to the forum Avesh... when would you like to book in to see where the oil and coolant leaks are coming from ?

-
2 pointsNice. It does seem entirely unnecessary to mask plates though, I wonder why people do it? It's not like you drive around trying to hide your plates right?

2 pointsAgree about changing your profile pic to a flag to show support. Very few of these people will donate or help. Just like that sh*t Ice water challenge of which went viral yet hardly made any money for the cause because nobody actually donated or sponsored people to do it. I read about the bombings in Iraq via BBC. If you didn't hear about it I suggest stop reading left wing sh*t rags like the NZherald and stuff. The difference is that France was attacked by a foreign entity that doesn't belong there. Iraq has a tribal mentality similar to some African nations. Tit for Tat violence. Today's victims are tomorrows murderers. It is hard to distinguish the innocent.

2 pointsMaybe he meant the jandal in the photo haha. Thanks, it's a mate of mine. He got caught accidentally

2 pointsSometimes you just need inspirations!! I actually think the dark blues and British racing greens are the ones that can pull the amber corners look off. I was originally thinking about it for the CSL until I googled photos of it on silver grey and promptly changed my mind!!

2 pointsHave been driving the car for a couple of weeks now with 1 brand new unit and 1 original unit that i rotated the reduction gear 180 degrees in, and all works fine , Polley has replaced the component that failed on the board in the other original unit and it is on its way back to me, i will replace the gears in that unit and next time the manifold "has to" come off, i will test the rebuilt unit and if it is all good i will swap it for the original that is still in there. Fingers crossed!

2 pointsYes, Because they look f**ken awesome when it's tilted up. (random google pic)

1 pointThere is already a massive N54/55 following for aftermarket bolt ons. The US has gone nuts. Thats on the stock ECU and stock everything. As with any big numbers build you need to spend money on the other things EG plenium / intake which in most cases anyways you get fabricated.
-
1 pointI know this isn't a bmw, but can any of you mechanics hear what is wrong with the motor on this guys Toyota?

1 pointI like style 135s also but they were painted black then curbed and i dont really want to spend a fortune to refurb them. They look great in normal silver but black on purple just didnt work out imo. I bought these bbs rcs for the e36 actually but thats gone now and i like how they look on the e46 so it will stay for now
-
1 pointthe most obvious is the special colour that you dont see around normally. basically the car is made to a specific spec by the original buyer and they get a range of "individual" colours to choose from. the most common indv colour is probably estoril blue

1 pointI stand by what I posted at the time with the information available. And I don't think we're looking at a quick sale for that engine at that price.

1 pointMmmm that CSL They seem to be getting better and better. Just a pure honest M car with no fussy detailing. Are their prices on the rise?
-
1 pointPlenty of engine's out there that will make decent power with a turbo off the side, reliably too. At least the fanboism makes it easy to spot the usual RFB retards and sh*t talkers.
-
1 pointIf heated they will/should have heater buttons on the side, (drivers seat - switches will be on the seatbelt buckle side).

1 pointI think the telling point is that few here would be getting worked up if you could call up plates.co.nz and get a Euro plate for $50-60 (even $100). Not sure there are many people who believe they should be able to have whatever they want (any colour or size). So basically the $400 is the problem.

1 pointYeah unfortunately I'm not a fan of them Ambers.. Change them out pretty quickly.. They do look cool on some cars though! But there's enough of an Amber ambience already surrounding it

1 pointThe reason as to why I ask is I fell That for the amount of money I have now spent on the m3 and the potential money I would get if I was to sell it is just pointless. It has done 150,000 kms now and would struggle to get 23 from what I see on trademe.

1 pointAssuming you're going to redo the suspension to something that can be altered to suit different tracks / conditions would it be easier to start with another E46 and install your desired parts into that? My thinking is that if you're swapping the driveline, suspension and powerplant for aftermarket stuff then it basically stops being an M3 in all but badging & interior spec - which you could remove / alter to accommodate a rollcage. Ok, so some panels are unique but I doubt they make any difference to performance levels Having said that, onselling the M3 engine and drivetrain would offset the costs of conversion quite considerably. Steve Murch would be able to give you guidance on costs and options if you chose to stick with the S54 and strap a snail to it. Supercharging seems to be a good option for a modest increase in output for street cars, not so much for big hp. I would want to see the full costs of a 2jz engine, drivetrain and ECU conversion against turbocharging the S54 before I made to many assumptions. And if you plan on tracking the car regularly there is such a thing as too much power - how many tracks & events around NZ could you really use 600-1000hp at? Not trying to rain on your parade, just genuinely intrigued

1 pointWorth a crack!! .... but if that dont fly ill score a bag of turbo walnut shell mix from Syntec (who supply BMW dealers) and get into it. I've got a small compressor but Dave from Autoblast has also offered one of his booths and his meggatron blaster thats got a compressor the size of a small city (and uses the same amount of electricity) that would probably cut my car in half if i held the loud button down for too long.

1 pointAwesome ok! Yes i have got a blaster and bag of walnuts from countdown.... they look too big to go down but i guess if you have enough pressure and stand far enough back...
