3 pointsThere are a bunch of you that really need to get a life.. You sit around like a bunch of old menopausal spinster women in a retirement home desperately seeking things/people to criticise despite knowing NOTHING of the circumstances. One starts it off (like in this topic) and the rest are in like a pack of dogs. Is it that you are not getting it at home??? Maybe you all should invest in an inflatable lady/man which you can pass around to remove the source of your frustration???

1 pointI'll keep that point in mind next time the wof dude gives me sh*t about a 2cv with an insecure spare wheel eghhhhhh. I think Velcro is great as i often need to take it out to access the lock bolt key and spare wheel. No farting about with a screwdriver. If you wire a plug into the harness it becomes a very simple proceedure to remove and refit.

1 pointThe old man has a 2006 diesel its been a great car for him absolutely no issues at all in 5 years ownership. Mountains of torque. It does have fairly firm suspension though and the steering is noticeably tougher than most power assists I've driven. I have heard the transmissions on them can give you trouble so check for receipt of repair. If you're not going to tow with it I'd go the 3L petrol, if you need to tow I'd go the td, v8's have less torque for towing and less efficient.

1 pointDon't buy or do anything until it has been diagnosed correctly... 90% of a repair is diagnosing the actual fault first
-
1 pointHA! Good luck with that, even with Uber they would rather fight it then actually become competitive.
-
1 pointI've got a 265 with no bellhousing so I could take some measurements and have a play around
-
1 pointI agree. Would you operate a skill saw, grinder or lathe after having a few beers? I know I wouldn't Driving a car is even worse. I personally would like to see a nil alcohol limit, like in Japan and other countries. Taxis and other services would have to become way more competitive to meet the demands I suspect.

1 pointI dont care what the story is when it comes to drink driving, absolutely anything they can do to get drink drivers off the road is a win in my book.

1 pointIf one was to really nitpick it would also run better with the radiator temp sender plugged in. But I'm not one to nitpick

1 pointQuick look in the reciepts folder shows 60k + the things I dont have reciepts for over the last 7 years, ha.

1 pointmake sure the radio antennae is properly connected to the radio and the antannae itself has a amplifier too.The ariel is an array in the back window. My e34 had very good radio reception which in wellington is not always straightforward.I would imagine an e39 would be at least as good

1 pointDamaged maf will not cause transmission faults. Taking it to glenn will save you alot of money.

1 pointMines changed now after surge/pickup trouble. I have the E46 in-tank to a small homemade pot that feeds the early 318 in-line. Seems to supply the 8 no worries.

1 pointPoor picture quality because of my ph but followed this E38 all the way from Wanganui to Auckland on the weekend of the ECC meet. The owner shall remain nameless. Andy. Woops. In true Bond style throwing out a smoke screen.

1 pointOi, hybrid, NO!! Don't you come on this thread and start using facts and logic... that will spoil the fun for everyone. Should be able to put what you want on your own car, cardboard box and a sharpie is so much cheaper than that rip-off monopoly. etc//
-
1 pointThe journalist writing that had a golden opportunity practically slapping them in the face to comment on the monopoly. Typical NZ Herald, weak reporting effort with no passion for their job. Probably hoping for another minor celebrity to fart on TV so they can pop it on their front page.
-
1 pointIf it was anything other than revenue collection they would make them illegal to import.

1 pointYou think anyone can just make up a plate of anything then go off do something dodgy is a right thing? (Not saying everyone will) I reckon if they train up the parking wardens to catch this one, we might get enough $$$ to build Len Brown's train set.
