  1. Very rare and hard to find, I think r56 was the last diesel mini BMW NZ brought into NZ but I could be wrong

Scroll through the menu to find out why, could be WOF reminder or stat emissions testing reminder if yours is an import. If it is either of those hold the BC button down and then change it as desired. If it's engine oil, brake fluid or otherwise then via the cluster
  3. You don't know pay for the labour, you pay for the knowledge and the investment in the software to be able to carry out the programming. What needs programming? Genuine keys come coded ready to go unless the vehicle has comfort access
  4. Its 20k ono so could be had for less, The car market is a slow at the moment, particularly for mid 2000's BMWs seen e70s selling for 8k with 150km on the clock, e90s for 5k and less And his had the SMG and I think bearings done as well, will have to check with him
  5. These are super cheap now, my brother picked up one for 18k recently
  6. As they brought brand new and e90s don't end up on dealers yards. It's a decent car and has a very good service history, message me if you want to know more about it
  7. Nice work bro, good to see some mint e30s in Christchruch again
  8. Picked up an 08 Mondeo for the Mrs and family duties for 5k and has treated us well so far. Some of the interior trim is starting to come away but it does have 180km. They are plentiful so getting replacement parts should be easy enough
  9. So many E3's have popped up all of a sudden. My mate picked up a rusted out 3.0si as a parts car for his one. I sold mine and know of 3 others as i was trying to sell mine. Looking forward to seeing more on yours
  10. Was it the orange one for sale in Christchurch on trademe recently?
  11. Know of one here in Christchurch but probably a bit far away
  12. 2min job to replace. There are places that do regas
  13. Was this the s50b32 swapped one in Christchurch?
  14. Should have it, split apart your key and look for the chip?
  15. ^^ E3 wagon - only one of those left in the world.
  16. Should be behind the glovebox

Markets change, consumers change so companies need to change to keep up otherwise they will be left behind so you can't really compare today's cars to the old. They may not have class defining characteristics as you put it but they are class leading. Enthusiasts buy for a number of reasons but I don't think depreciation factors into the purchase otherwise no one would buy a brand new car. They buy generally with the heart and not the wallet. The E9X and E60 are approaching the bottom of the curve now and in 5 years they will head up much like the rest of the M cars. They may not appeal to you but to many of the kids these days they do appeal and they are the ones who will buying them in 20 years

Havent read the article but probably referring to the M performance exhaust. Care to elaborate? The driving dynamics of any modern M car are an enthusiasts dream. You may rubbish all the extras, naming conventions but doesn't take away from the way the car is designed to drive and how it does drive
  19. Could just be where it's leaking from that when you are on a flat it pools in the subframe or somewhere
  20. Depends how it's been done but easier to track down some replacement struts, same sort of set up as e30 so likely to be welded in the front, and then remove the compressor, tank and lines.
  21. Have seen all sorts of weird and wonderful things in cars including airbags hardwired in and DVD players earthed on airbags so unless you have owned it since you then you can never be too sure what lies beneath
  22. Not mine but https://www.trademe.co.nz/2164009238
  23. Sit down with the service manager and have a decent chat about it all. Half the problem is we are dealing with 20 year old cars which are going to have underlying issues which no one knows about. It's highly unlikely, close to impossible that the DSC module failure has anything to do with the airbag recall. It's like saying since you changed my engine oil the windows don't work
  24. Does the car have a CD stacker in the boot? Have seen them replaced with bluetooth module
