  1. I've never been a collector of model cars, except the one's I received in my childhood, I still have most of those... but some of these look so pretty. http://www.diecastmodelswholesale.com/bmw-diecast/ Closest I'd ever be to M1 or classic Alpina ownership.
  2. These Alfa's look just as good, are a fraction of the cost, and have similar reliability.
  3. http://shipmyvehicle.co.nz/ They turned up in a search as an Advert. they do port to port only, but Auckland to Chch is $563incl gst! Almost half the price of the next cheapest that I've found.... as the saying goes, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
  4. Legitimate, superior, or not because of age... I see those points as redundant, if I want an M-Sport, and I think I'm buying an m-sport, and I happily pay a little fraction of an M dollar extra for it, and later find out it's not actually an M-Sport... I'd be upset. but also a moot point because I'm not buying it, so who cares what i, or anyone other than the seller and prospective buyer thinks. Their own fault if they do or don't do their due diligence. seller believes it to be an M-Sport, they bought it thinking so from someone else who thought it so, if the next person also thinks it is so... more power to em, special M motor too, Model number of it has the M prefix ;-)
  5. VBox Videos worth a watch on his Youtube, hit's 1.3G in the corners, a lot, must be a fun drive.
  6. This looks like it'd be good fun, Clocked a 1:33 at Ruapuna, Winner of 2016/17 Rennsport Open championship, smashing an assortment of 9 different porsches and a bunch of other BMW's. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1372738879&member_hash=a9dc4bafa3eddaa9458f413e719bba3348f373feba1dbb3451
  7. Try Brent or Ray. Both are up in the 09 but they have a massive range of parts.
  8. Speaking as a driver of a 2013 Ford Transit 155 T350 with the 2.2L, I rather engine the 360NM of torque from the ZSD-422 (Duratorq TDCi) in a straight line, but don't rate it around corners.
  9. The $1200 is ridiculous in and unto itself, I agree, but that's the market for you... BMW's surcharge on the other hand... I think you can get a euro plate manufactured off shore once yo own the local 'normal' plate landed for around NZ$100 or less, technically Illegal but can be done, whether it's worth it for the savings vs potential grief... who could say.
  10. f**king f**k you NZ BMW Kiwi Plates $1200 Only Available from a BMW Dealer for $1995 Pretty sure I could get a label maker to make me a sticker to cover the stars for less than the $795 Premium they charge for submitting the order form on my behalf. Unbelievable. This plates is available if anyone wants it, no charge for the idea.
  11. Non Euro, but I'm surprised this is worth so little with the 540 being relatively common and popular. I guess the 'I' is a bit of a boner killer. 540 MS would be cooler, also non EURO shape. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/personalised-plates/auction-1372814218.htm
  12. https://www.trademe.co.nz/1371839114 looks really well cared for, tasteful but aggressive stylings.
  13. https://www.etkbmw.com/bmw/EN/vin/decoder/ET21795/EN It shipped with MSport Suspension, I think the exact fit out of M Sport BMWs varies wildly.
  14. That was the kind of L/100 I was expecting, but I'ts been a while since i drove an E34 540, and never an Auto or Touring one.
  15. I never pushed it enough to test the grip of the tyres, but, with my hand at 12 O clock on the steering wheel, i could move my hand rapidly back and forth from 10 to 2 and f**k all happened, tracked straight.
  16. Article seems to agree with you http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2008/04/2008-bmw-135i-vs-335i-review/ "After testing BMW 135i and 335i coupes back-to-back, I can reveal that there are only two good reasons to purchase the smaller, cheaper car. Either you need a track day machine or you're an idiot"
  17. These are getting cheap! On a race to the bottom with E60 M5 https://www.trademe.co.nz/1230205685
  18. I'm also hoping Someone outbids my 4K feeler bid as this car isn't so exciting now.
  19. We are.... if they have three pedals
  20. Checked it out today, thermostats bung so temp never left the blue, makes me wonder how long it's been driven, possibly thrashed while cold. its fairly straight, but not quite as straight as it appears in the trademe photos. Had a recent buff I think that looked vaguely like over spray. on a flat road at 95Kph I couldn't get the consumption under 12.8L/100 which seems high, unless that's just a fun auto feature. started fairly happily, all cylinders at once after about 4 second of winding first start, less than a second the second start. factory exhaust. interior is pretty rough, maybe an ex house painters wagon... Felt very lazy handling wise, my 98 Landcruiser with similar mileage feels more stable In the front while cornering, not loose per se, but lazy and wallowing, seemed to have a vibration in the steering wheel that came and went over 70k. gearbox very smooth, once it warmed up, shifted happily both manually and in A and S, including really nice down shifting which I've missed in my landcruiser. power was smooth but underwhelming, but it is a vanos free 4L.
  21. Nice car, what kind of Car shelter is that? Looks very Solid.
  22. That red on the seats makes me want to throw up and then punch Bangle in the face, I don't know if he had any say in the interior options... but someone needs to be held accountable.
