  1. He's banking on the rarity of such a low K Evo, with a full service history appealing to someone, appealing more than an E39 M5... I guess if your having your midlife crisis you want the top down... I think he's dreaming to say the E36 Price could ever get near E30 M3 price... E30 M3 1702 total (82 Convertible) E36 M3 2212 Globally (122 Convertible) The numbers look close enough till you consider only 640 E39 M5 were built Numbers from HERE
  2. Based on this thread, I'm pretty sure he's in Auckland.
  3. if you still have it in 8 weeks... keen.
  4. Yes, but some shenannigans suspected in the Auction, most recent Vendor doesn't appear to be a Bimmersport member.
  5. Awesome concept man, brilliant Idea to get some boogie into the V12, I always thought the stock 750/850's sound like they are yawning at full speed. There is a chap on this forum that owned a V12 5L E34 Estate, possible you two could have a lot to chat about, I don't recall whether he did the conversion or not, and couldn't google (within my attention span) any links on this site. Not E46's, but some dialog of E36 swap this thread
  6. Damn... if fricken transporters hadn't bumped their prices into the 4 figures from AKL to Chch id be all over this.
  7. Congrats on sale, lovely example and reasonably priced.
  8. I had great fun in my E36 318, it felt much more balanced than my E30 323, plus same power out of the more modern engine... I don't think i'd get many smiles out of an M10B18 though.
  9. I love how he has 6 Photos of the car, and 8 Photos of the polishing machine and accessories.
  10. I'd advise you to post more information on the affected vehicle, presumably your 525? What year/engine/km's will help us advise you if anything typical for the life stage and age.
  11. I'd say it's $500 to $1500 cheaper than normal for such an example yeah.
  12. Man, was that only listed today? I get a nightly wrap up with certain BMW keywords... i miss out on ones like that somehow, Trademe needs to have a 'notify me instantly' option
  13. Info on the 325e (I'd never heard of it), looks like this one missed out on the 885 head. Crazy low redline of 4500/4750, even my 'low revving' 2UZ-FE revs higher than this thing. http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/325e Unfortunately I'm lazy AF, so manual windows is a put off for me.
  14. This looks like a good base for a project, not sure how we all missed it, closes in 23 hours. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1324306169.htm From Listing
  15. Well, it may have cost over 10K buying the E60 to get the manual to make that $50... as the saying goes, the easiest way to make a small fortune is to start off with a large one.
  16. If you only want to pay 5k, you probably want to offer 4.5k so he can go up to what you want to pay ;o)
  17. I'd love to get into sales for a living, but a military career in my youth has hardwired me for an uncomfortable level of honesty and integrity, I'd probably get too wound up if I had to bullshit to meet any targets.
  18. I think it's almost expected now on $1 car Auctions. I've 'followed' all the parties so if it resists I'll be the first to know, my guess is it's now for sale on some AKL based Facebook group.
  19. Well my suspicions deepen... According to 'Richard's' Auction feedback on the casioo account the sale to rickooos was not completed, dated 22/05/17, no feedback exist on the casioo account for the purchase. The Images for the auction appear to originally be by a trader aitorr or Adam from Fielding, but, no feedback exists on his account for this car, for either purchase or sale. I messaged a complaint to Trademe about possible Shilling, but they don't respond to complaints, which i think is bull crap when the subject matter is potential bidders fraud... I found the links for two other possible sales, but trademe blocks access to historical auctions, and no cache i know of keeps copies either. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/cars/bmw/auction-1282709423.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/cars/bmw/auction-1275695421.htm
  20. Get an AA check done and have a friendly forum member give a once over on your behalf, then if you really love driving do a transfercar to AKL for free and drive back over a few days, otherwise flights are less than $100 if you book in advance, $200 gets you return flight insurance if you change your mind on sight, these cars are lovely on the long haul. Holy hell car transportation has gone up! Used to be $800 or less AKL-CHC, now $1200+ What the hell.
  21. You may also wish to consider this members car, http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.asp?id=1332371169&cc=602&pid=584428789&hbc=&member_hash=&ct=title-link
  22. Arguably this car is in the 5k range, but, by the looks he's recently fitted over $1500 of new Michelin Tyres, so probably looking to be reimbursed for that. I'm always so skeptical of ACS cars though, so easy to fake, arguably even easier than 'M-Tech/Sport' as the VIN never gives anything away, $500 of parts from ebay and boom, ACS car, I've seen a dealer import a car and register it with ACS in the model name, because it had a set of ACS pedals, this is probably at the too elaborate to fake end, but i'm always wary.
  23. Why not just drop an S62 in it, imo these things are lifeless with M62's in them.
